There are social safety programs here in America. to take care of the poor They will not starve. Our system in America is people not working in many instances fare better than working people. This should not be. Poverty should not be comfortable.

Personally I would like to see income taxes abolished. Only have sales taxes. Sales taxes on "luxury" items can be a higher percentage. This way people working for cash, selling drugs, illegal dealings, etc also pay their fair share. As it is in the US the top 12.5% of Americas wage earners pay...

Why raise income taxes? Raise sales taxes. It is a more equitable and transparent way to collect taxes.

I guess when you can't defend the indefensible you change the subject. Villainizing corporations telling people raising corporate taxes makes things more fair. These people virtue signal corporations need to pay more. When in reality they know consumers are the ones paying these hidden taxes.
