Looking to replace my key fob shell and have a few questions.
Is replacing the shell as simple as transferring the guts to one shell to another?
Can I use a shell that has 5 buttons (automotic) with a manual that originally had a fob with 4 buttons?
Is there anything on the market yet that allows us to adjust the clutch engagement point? This and the rev hang are the 2 main things that I dislike about the s550.
Thanks for the help and advice everyone. I looks like the new sensor fixed the problem. It didn't happen right away but after driving a few miles all of the lights went off and have not reappeared.
Also before it cuts everything the brakes feel like crap. Feels like they are locking up with the slightest pressure and when the car cuts the system brakes go back to normal.
While rolling with the clutch engaged there will be jerking/pulsing and as soon as the car cuts everything it stops.
I took that sensor off it doesnt jerk at all.
I ordered a sensor already, it should be here friday. Im really hoping its just that so i wont have to spend $100 on a hun assembly. The weird thing is that i get the jerking with all the systems on but as soon as the car turns them off it stops. Im thinking if it was something mechanical...
Thank you very much for the info I have a MX now with Forscan. I didn't know about the graph to show what the sensors are doing. These are the codes I got:
DTC in PCM
P061A:00-68
DTC in FDCIM
U3003:16-AC
DTC in OCS
U0401:00-28
DTC in ABS
U0140:00-68, C0051:67-68, C0039:07-68
DTC in RTM...
I have the car on jack stands right now. Weird thing about my issue is that the get the jerking with all of the systems turned on then as soon as the car shuts off advancetrac, abs, etc it drives smooth.
Will there be anything specific to look for on the bearing other than play? I checked for play and there is none. I also ordered a new ABS sensor since it was only $11. I'm not too sure how to disconnect the wire end of the old ABS sensor and can't really find anything online. I don't really...
So my issue is when I start driving right after engine start there is a slight jerking and the brakes feel very weird as if they want to lock with hardly any pressure then the car cuts off ABS, Advancetrac, power steering and the air bag light is on. Also right after startup I get a message...
OK so I got the following from the CM
061A-00 Internal Control Module Torque Performance
and
U0415-00 Invalid Data Received from ABS Control Module
Not sure if I should make a new thread about the codes but I'm guessing this means one of the ABS sensors is bad or is the ABS control module...
I pulled the trigger on the MX. I should have it tomorrow. I'm also looking forward to disabling some annoying features like the horn beeping from walking away with the key while the engine is running.
Trying to find the correct app. On the forscan site I only see forscan lite and on the app...
Thanks. Thats great. I have the MX and MX+ on my amazon wish list so this gives me a reason to buy one. So to my understanding the only difference with the MX+ is IOS capability?
Thanks i will start testing those with the multimeter. Yea they are really cheap and i haveca feeling the dealer would rip me off on labor to change a $10 sensor.
Can any of these bluetooth scanners test ABS or wheel speed sensors? I think one of my ABS sensors is bad and would like to try and find out which one myself before having to take it to the dealer. What do the dealers use to diagnose these problems?
