That looks really good! I wouldn't have thought that I'd like the black accent on Kona. I keep telling myself that I don't like the black accent wheels, yet every time I see them I seem to forget that and love how the car looks :p
That play looks normal. It would be nice to see zero movement since this auto shifter doesn't have a side slot for +/- "manual" shifting (please Ford, add this to accompany the paddle shifters), but wouldn't worry about what you see in the video.
1) Don't mix oil types and weights unless you're in a bind (need to increase oil levels to go somewhere to buy correct oil).
2) Mobil 1 is good stuff.
3) There are many reasons why you saw less MPG on Mobil 1 - the biggest possibility is that the Mobil 1 that you tested wasn't 0W20. If both...
The talk of "engines being broken in at the factory" makes me imagine a huge room with hundreds of 5.0s being run at various RPMs.
I want to visit that place.
How so? The only pain that I could see is if for some reason you decided to drop to 1st while making an entrance, in which case a loud exhaust + rev match could frighten someone standing on the corner of the street.
I drive with an auto rev-matching transmission every day, and as long as...
This might be possible, given that the 2019 6MT likely has sensors detecting the position of the shifter.
If this is the case, it would likely work so that remote start is possible if the shifter is in the neutral position, which would be slick for starting the car in a level garage on cold...
It's been discussed here a lot over the past months, but it's more than simple programming. There has to be additional sensors within the transmission housing so that the engine knows the selected gear and can hold RPM accordingly.
FYI - not just a Bullitt feature - it'll be standard on all...
You're over thinking it. While oil vapors are being circulated through your engine, your 2016 is port injected, meaning your valves are being hosed down with fuel detergents constantly. As long as you use top-tier fuel (which is most major fuel brands), you will see almost zero performance /...
As mentioned above, the 2019 6MT likely has sensors within the transmission to detect the selected gear. A simple dash swap out will probably not display the gear.
The bigger question is will the non-digital dash 2019 6MTs have a place to display gear, or will this be a digital dash only feature?
I've always thought of catch cans as a gimmick. They likely provide some benefits on direct inject only engines, but for port or hybrid inject, the benefits will be minimal.
Just one more thing to check / clean / empty. The engine does a fine job of burning / disposing of this crap on its...
My thoughts exactly - when I first saw that you have to pay income tax on the car, I thought that it was crazy.
The more I thought about it, I realized that it's still a good deal. I'm constantly in the market for a Mustang, and if a dealer contacted me saying that he had a limited 1 of 1...
Used Mustangs hit dealer lots at crazy high prices - there is a 2016 GT Convertible sitting on a lot near my office for $34K with 38K miles.
I suspect it's a big driving force behind Ford adding the GT to their lease program for 2019.
^What he said. Car is fine, tires are out of balance. It doesn't take much to knock it out of whack, and performance type cars usually get steering vibrations more than economy cars because they're designed for you to "feel the road" (tires) more than new drive by wire cars.
