I thought I remembered hearing the faux gas cap was sticking with us too. Maybe the horse emblem we see is for the base model and the GT will get a faux cap with the GT lettering inside? :shrug:

Mainstream styling is not inherently bad but the Mustang would be best off if it retains what people define a Mustang by. Many European Mustang6g posters have already said that they want a car that says "Mustang". It will naturally evolve of course but no one wants it to become a BMW or anything...

Mustangs look great with a widebody kit, I even like the Galpin kit at SEMA you just posted. I doubt that production will ever come close to that drastic of a design though...
