Yeah, but the ad says its been garage kept most of its life. I really had my heart set on an older Cherokee Classic with the 4L though, but finding one without rust or that has been hacked up is a challenge. The more I think about it though, maybe something that old will be more trouble than its...
Yeah, I really wanted a WRX or EVO back in the day, but couldn't afford them then. Now I can, but they keep getting uglier and are now way underpowered IMO. I considered looking for a Legacy or Forester. I think I want to stay with an SUV or 4x4 pickup or even a Wrangler for my 2nd beater car...
I hear ya ice. Luckily my dad is good working on cars, but he is getting up there in age. I am finally getting a decent tool set. Just need a tool box yet. I missed out on several more since I posted last. Anything halfway decent sells quick. I'm thinking of looking at a 2011 Grand Cherokee...
I was originally looking for a Wrangler too, but quickly found out it's not very likely to find a nice one under 8k. What about a 06 Suzuki Sidekick? Not my first pick, but a solid, rust free one with a bunch of suspension upgrades, small lift and bigger wheels and includes winches on the front...
A 2006 Forester just popped up. It looks to be in really good condition with 154k miles for 5750. The ad says they just replaced all the gaskets, timing kit, water pump and some other stuff. I'm not sure what model it is. It says X Sport Utility, but I don't think it has the turbo motor if that...
Yeah, I've always wanted a WRX. But don't like the looks of the new ones as much. I really want something you can haul stuff in with the 2nd car too. Like a pickup or SUV so something like a forester would work.
The guy with the 01 Cherokee dropped the price back down to 7.5k, but says its negotiable. IDK, its tempting as its just what I wanted and has those upgrades. I guess brakes and bushings aren't that big of a deal. I also found an 08 Grand Cherokee Limited with 100k miles for 6k. It has the V8 in...
Yeah may be an option, but I don't think I want something that big. Its just me right now and I don't see that changing anytime soon and my my Challenger just barely fits on the other side of the garage where I would park the 2nd vehicle d/t my pool filter system in the floor. I know its a long...
Yeah I hear ya. Another guy has an 01 Cherokee Classic with 127k miles that looks pretty nice, but needs a few "minor" things. He's asking 8.5k for it now which is way too high IMO. He was asking about 3 grand less a few weeks ago, but it started overheating so he put a new radiator, water pump...
So I took the road trip up to Ann Arbor today to look at that 05 Cherokee and it was a nightmare! My GPS kept going out so a 90 mile trip took me well over 2 hours. The salesman lied to me about the vehicle condition and location of the vehicle in his emails. It wasn't at the main dealership as...
Well I didn't like the looks of that one. They always look worse in person than the pics. It had a broken off antennae and a rust hole on the rear quarter. I didn't even want to drive it. There is an 05 Grand Cherokee I may look at tomorrow. Nothing special, but he says its rust free. It has...
I know what you mean about finding a classic Cherokee in good shape. Every time I find a decent looking one on the marketplace it sells before I can even look at it. There are a couple up in Michigan that may be worth a look, but not sure about doing a private sale that far away. I was going to...
I had them for a month or two when I purchased my current house and bundled it with the home insurance until they noticed part of my roof was flat and said they could not insure it so I said the heck with that and switched to branch which was actually cheaper for the first year, but they...
Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a winter beater so I don't have to drive my 1320 in the white stuff and salt in NW Ohio. I don't want to spend more than about 6k and really want a Jeep like a Classic Cherokee or maybe a Grand Cherokee. I don't know a lot about them, but heard they...
Those drag races would have been much different if they would have used the Challenger 1320 package. That thing takes off like a rocket using launch control. It is very hard to get it to hook on the street, but on a prepped track its pretty quick for a big NA car.
I never really looked into a BMW before, but that M240i looks almost perfect to me as far as AWD, quick with turbo that is easier to gain power than NA, decent mileage and to top it off slightly less expensive than the way I optioned my 1320 (57k). The only thing I don't like is no cooled seats...
Oh wow, I just got around to reading the actual C&D article as I just assumed the Z was slower due to the comments on this thread, but no it beat the Mach 1 on just about all the acceleration numbers except for top speed. Am I missing something, how did that happen with the Mach's power...
No way, so it changes color under different light? I saw a sharp looking Mustang in that shade of "blue" on the road the other day for the first time, but it was a convertible so I don't think it could have been this new color.
