yes you only use the card to update once then you put navi card back in

"Root" means the very first folder as soon as you open the SD card directory. For example: Correct would be SDCARD / Updatefiles Incorrect SDCARD/ 温度改华氏软件/ UpdateFiles

Everything should be on the "ROOT" directory of the SDcard any SD card will do as long as the files fit. The update fixes some Spelling errors and the Temperature changes to Farenheit

instead of going selecting "mustang sync" on the update screen. select "mustang" and click ok... see if that triggers the bootloader.

did you extract the rar files to the main SD card directory?

No that is still not fixed. But i figured out where the language file is and how to edit it. i will be making that change soon

I would suggest no more than 20 dollars. But if its been less than 30 days i would fight it through ebay.

if you go to the system update and change from mustang sync to mustang bt i think the dial pad works make sure you remove the install SD card before doing it though.

No. you literately plug in an SD card with the update files and it does everything automatically. But getting it to read the SD card is the tricky part. in a nutshell these are the instructions on how i got it to work for me 1 - turn on car. (car must be fully running) not just powered on...

1 - Once you load the image it saves to the TOMTOP hard drive. So you dont need to keep the USB in there. 2 - No luck yet. I am in talks with them on instructions / password on how to update the tomtop. But some progress is better than no progress.

When you get the grey screen, have you tried hitting the [M] button on the steering wheel? it might be stuck in one of the video screen that has no input. the {M} button might be able to take you out of it. Else disconnect the battery see if that lets the unit reset as well
