Ford Pass will work, but you need to purchase the Ford Pass Smartlink device. That's for owners of 2010-17 model Mustang's. 2018 and newer already have the built in LTE modem.
I tried that and still doesn't work for me. Ever since the app update with the new design, it's never shown distance to empty or tire pressure for me. The previous version of the app did. The fuel gauge, oil life, location, unlock/lock all work though.
EDIT: New update for the app on iOS fixed...
Does the distance to empty show a number for you on the updated app? Fuel level is correct but distance to empty doesn't show anything for me. It did on the previous version.
Are you using a Mac or PC? Reason I ask is I've seen people run into issues using the built in utility on Mac's to unzip files. The issue is usually the running out of space error.
If you want the 3.10 update, the dealership will do it. I found the download link for the 3.10 update in several forums. I'll have the dealership do mine when I take my F-150 in for a recall notice I received. From reddit and the F-150 forum, it didn't sound like anyone had any issues installing...
There has actually only been like one update in years. The last public release was done in 2015, which is Sync2 v3.8. I read there is a 3.10 version out there, but I believe it has to be done at the dealership.
It works great for me. What kind of phone are you using? On the iPhone, you have to make sure location services is checked on and FordPass is allowed location access.
You have to order the 1.16 update through your dealership. I believe it's $150. NA 1.17 update is already out on production vehicles, but not available to purchase yet.
Navigation updates aren't free. Which version do you have? The latest maps you can purchase is the NA 1.16 update. Some vehicles already have NA 1.17, but that's not available to purchase yet. NA 1.17 might be coming out this fall to purchase.
You should be fine. I have a 2015 F-150 and I've never received any MFT updates. I just put in an A8 card I bought off eBay and it works fine. What A series card is currently in your wife's MKZ?
I listen to Sirius quite often, but I'm using the app. Listening via the stock radio, the quality is just too terrible. I use Spotify via Carplay or Android Auto. I also keep my iPod in the car as well for another audio source.
I'm having an issue with Android Auto ever since I installed the 3.0 18025 build. When I use my work phone, which is a Galaxy Note 8, it constantly is saying my Galaxy Note 8 is connected and audio and Waze cut out. I literally get a pop up every minute or so on the screen. It drives me nuts...
I bought my 2018 last month and it came with build 17276. Is there something I need to do in order to install the official 18025 build? I saw in another forum that 18025 won't install over 17276, but not sure if that is correct. I downloaded 18025 from Ford today. Does it matter if I don't use a...
Sync 3 is miles better than the old My Ford Touch. When I had an Explorer, that was during the time of all the major problems with MFT. I would have daily MFT reboots, rear camera would get stuck, Sirius Travel Link would never work, etc. The only thing I miss is the ability for custom...
