According to where I took mine they say they did. Plus to change the axles the hub nuts would have had to been re-torqued and that was an area of concern on other posts so....

You can access it behind the gas pedal as that is home I put the plug in mine when I removed the tube
I bet if you put some needle nose pliers in there you can remove it
