A low stall speed and tight converter won't be much different than stock. As you go up in how loose it is and stall speed you will have to go deeper into the throttle before lock-up to have the car move.

Pullied for 20PSI? Those IATS must get HOT. There usually is a diminishing return on wastegates on a centri vs what your IC can do. Meth would help a lot running a 20psi IAT

Check the plugs and swap out coils. I had this issue and it was coils as per Collin at RI
