Ive spent some time working in exhaust shops and i think the biggest issue with lower capacity NA engines is just putting too large a diameter exhaust on them ( large capacity it happens also tbh ) . Should be some sort of formula based on Engine capacity and RPM redline to give that size...

9 times out of ten just replacing the 50c O ring in a leaking fitting will fix it , its what i do . O ring pick and a torch its literally a 60 second job . YMMV , this paying huge money for fittings is just a massive waste of money imo . Brass is fine , it's the O ring thats the weak link
