  1. Top Speed?

I just did the Texas Mile last weekend and hit 183mph in a standing mile. It was still pulling, so who knows ... maybe eventually 190? It was certainly dancing around a lot. If I go again in October, I will probably look at venting the hood to release the pressure build-up.
  2. Does your State still have an active 1/4 mile strip?

There are two in the Central Texas area that I frequent. Alamo City Motorplex in San Antonio and Little River Dragway up near Temple, TX (just north of Austin). Both are about 1/1.5 hours away from Austin depending on traffic.
  3. Texas Mile

Cross-posting (probably should have been in this forum anyway)... I've entered to run my first Texas Mile this weekend. I've watched a few videos, but if anyone has any preparation tips, I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone else is going, it'd be great to meet up. Current car specs are in my...
  4. Running the Texas Mile Mar. 2021 - Prep Tips Wanted

I've entered to run my first Texas Mile next weekend! I've watched a few videos, but if anyone has any preparation tips, I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone else is going, it'd be great to meet up. Current car specs are in my "showcase/garage": The Sleeper | 2015+ S550 Mustang Forum (GT...
  5. Any good performance shops or repair shops that do good work on Mustangs?

I’ve had good luck with Kirk at Pro Modular Performance. Definitely knows Mustangs, but depending on what you want done, can take a little while.
  6. what is required when adding FI to pass emissions test?

Got it, I had forgotten that was out there. Thanks for posting!
  7. The whipple wait

Different times and circumstances, but I ordered mine through my shop on Memorial Day 2020 and didn't get it until Labor Day 2020. Seems the lead times have come down a bit, but definitely worth the wait for those still on backorder.
  8. what is required when adding FI to pass emissions test?

Just ran into this in Austin, TX today. I have a Stage 1 Whipple with the Whipple tune (no other performance mods), but had 3 sensors "not ready", so it failed. I have not driven the car enough according to the shop, so I'm heading to Temple to watch my son's baseball game, then doing a...
  9. Texas Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

Sorry, no it has been sold.
  10. Texas Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

It would be $195. The shop that un-installed it (http://www.promodularperformance.com/) already has it boxed up.
  11. Texas Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

Bump and lowered the price to $5,500. If you're local, you can talk to Kirk at Pro Modular Performance who did the un-install for me (it's still at the shop).
  12. Texas Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

They said no. The warranty is for the original purchaser.
  13. Texas Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

That's a good question. I'll have to send Roush an email to find out.
  14. Texas Sold: Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit (2018-2020 GT)

Roush Stage 1 Supercharger Kit for Ford Mustang 2018-2020 GT. Includes Roush coil covers. Only has 6,000 miles on it (swapped out for a Whipple Gen5). Installed by Mac Haik Ford, removed by Pro Modular Performance. Asking $5,500 for local pick up, but I am willing to ship at the buyer's expense.
  15. Local Performance Shops - Updated List?

Using ProModular to install the Whipple. Kit goes in Monday + OPG. I was thinking of doing one last hurrah at either Little River or San Antonio tomorrow night for test-n-tune, but 103* ambient... just doesn’t make much sense.
  16. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Suggestions on any “real vents”? I was under the impression Track Spec’s were the goto.
  17. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Ideally, I'd like to find something along the lines of what @wazatataza has. The 2018++ variant, instead of replacing the factory vent, it keeps the factory vent then adds the louver behind it. I could just take out the factory vent for track purposes I suppose, but really I'm after opening it...
  18. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Does anyone know of a hood vent for a 2018+ which is a full replacement for the factory hood vents++? For some reason, the track spec vents for the 2018+ go behind the factory vent and look like a tack-on item. I'm assuming there are functional reasons for that, but the 2015-2017 variant just...
  19. Cervinis GT500 hood for 2018

Cool, thanks for the details. Mine is garaged as well, but it's the Magnetic color, so my only concern might be the metallic flake. This isn't a show car (still want it to look good though) and since I'm supercharged, the heat was really my angle for considering it. The 15lbs. difference has me...
  20. Cervinis GT500 hood for 2018

For those who had a local body shop do the paint and finish ... did they say how much they had to tweak things? My local shop is saying "fiberglass? probably $2400 to get it to fit right and paint match with the fenders". Is that about right? Makes that $500 painting option from Cervinis look...
