    Do you know if the manifolds will come out with the heads?

    So I have decided to do Cams, ARP head studs, MMR boosted head gaskets and new valve springs while I have my motor apart. Looking at everything it appears the heads could possibly be removed while the motor is still in the car. Has any one had experience doing this and if so any tip to be had?

    It’s funny you say this as the parts guy at the dealership I go get random bolt from The hardware store to replace them.

    Meat fisted? The 4 bolts holding the housing to the block have been torqued per the manual. The only bolts I did not torque were the torx bolts that hold the oil pump housing together and since this is completely replaced by Ford and not serviced there are not any torque specs available.

    So on the Torque to yield bolt thing. I called the local dealership and spoke to service and parts, both said to just reuse the existing bolts and could not give me a part number to replace them.

    Yes I am talking about the Torx screws that hold the back plate on. When it comes to the bolts holding the pump to the block I torqued those per sequence but I feel as though it’s wrong so may redo them. I was not aware they are tty bolts as everyone is always just reusing them?

    So I just installed OPG’s yesterday and when reassembling the housing I just fingertightened all of the torx screws and then using a criss cross pattern snugged them as tight as I could with a 1/4” ratchet.
