Just installed mine on my PP. Fitment isn't perfect (around the fender liners, etc.) but it sure looks nice. Came without instructions. Purchased from s550parts on instagram for $95 shipped.
It doesn't fit over the PP lip. On the PP, the OEM lip is actually two pieces. Drill out the two rivets...
Nice!! I loved the DW on my s197 and s550. I hope they slightly stiffened up that sidewall for the new model. I only really noticed it on the s550 for whatever reason, perhaps weight.
Also I'd love to run 305/35 19 squared. Wish they would make that! Glad to see them at least offering a 295/35...
I ordered mine via American Muscle on November 7th. Still hasn't shipped. AM hasn't been very communicative, but they told me they were waiting on them to be powder coated at BMR. I've heard from others that there is a shortage of supplies. What's going on with these?
Looks like a very well designed kit. Blends in wonderfully with the car. I've always wanted a side exhaust since I drove a 2010 GT with it. Nothing like exhaust exits by your ears! If I didn't already spend money on a GT350 valance and exhaust, these would be a top priority.
I love both platforms. I'd much rather drive my s550 on the street, but like s197 more on the track because of s550 wheelhop.
Another note, my stock s550 is faster than the equivalent s197. Tested this many times. If yours is slower, get a driver mod and some lighter wheels :p
The weight...
Exactly. An exhaust shop should be able to fix the squeaks without issue. If you don't like the sound, add two bullet style resonators. I did and it sounds amazing with the Roush AB.
Roush axleback pops between shifts on a bone stock car. I added an x pipe with smaller resonators and the pops are a lot louder now. Usually the first big downshift after a semi-warm start will set off a super loud pop/backfire sound. Also when I let off after WOT it pops a good bit. It's...
