Yea, I would get the brakes looked at. Sounds like a vacuum leak. In the meantime, use engine braking(downshifting) as well. And on the extreme side, you can also use the handbrake on top of that.

Slap in an X-Pipe and good weather to get you that 500 number. Or go for the GT350 intake manifold and 87mm throttle-body, to get more air into the engine.

Last year at Cota. We were just goofing off and heard this monster fire up. Fastest guy around the track, until the fuel starvation going uphill.

For my Steeda tunes they had me going for a month, before everything was good. 5 Star tuning was a week. Wengerd tunes didn't really work for me, but I didn't complain. You got to pay to play. Sometimes stuff don't work out...part of the game.

If you want an idea of what HP you could gain with E85, look at steeda bullitt e85 tune advertised number. The GT350 intake manifold and active exhaust gives a bit more vs the regular GT numbers. Low-end gain is where the fun is at.

I've used K&N filters since the early 90's. A few of my vehicles got over 180K miles with these filters on. So I don't see the issue with dirt getting into the intake. I had one Nissan 720 hitting 280k miles with K&N filter through it's life. One vehicle required filter cleaning every 3...
