In my experience, the conti’s have just as good if not better traction. It’s really splitting hairs between the two in performance though.

I can’t agree with this. Before I got my current wheels I had bolt on spacers. I had zero issues. Torque them correctly with a little blue thread lock and you are good to go. As mentioned it is a good idea to check them periodically. But it is far from unsafe

My mustang is my daily so I’m rolling with conti extremecontact dws09. Not as sticky as your Cup2’s but a great tire for my use case. Stock power GT, 285’s squared. I have to try to break traction otherwise they stick great
