  1. Sto n sho

    Purely for aerodynamics of course....
  2. Almost as good as collecting the car....

Fedex delivering... :ford:  $/£ rate is dire though making purchases very expensive! I was lucky with my S197 as it was almost $2 to £1 - those days long gone :(
  3. Prep your own - stig's DIB detail

Manders (so blame him ;) ) suggested I cover the detail of my car in a seperate thread so others could reference the process. So here it is :) Car wasn't terrible upon delivery, but certainly showed the signs of a long journey.
  4. Extended warranty

Just to say, I opted for the extended warranty. Extra 2 years cost £590, but has to be taken when you take delivery (and pay). The way I look at it, £295 a year is peanuts compared to the cost of, say, a new alternator (or mirror projector lamp!). So, 5 years peace of mind. As long as car is...
  5. Just off out....

    To collect my car
  6. I will not mod. I will not mod. Repeat...

Then Gibbo sells his FRPP springs to me and I seem to have subsequently bought half a car's worth of parts! Bad man!!! :eyebulge: :paddle: :headbonk:  My excuse is that they colour match the car :ford:
  7. New EVO vid

Apologies if previously posted: [ame] Just ignore the bit about it being the 'first Mustang in 50 years with IRS'
  8. New Evo vid

Apologies if already posted: [ame] Oh, ignore the 'first Mustang in 50 years to have IRS'
  9. FRPP shocks & struts

Hi guys, Does anyone know the actual part number for the dampers of the Ford Racing track strut and shock kit? http://fordperformanceracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=24734 They list them as M-FR3A-M8, but what I need to know is the actual part number on the damper itself...
  10. Favour request - GT owners

Hi chaps, For anyone who's taken delivery of their GT, could you do me a massive favour and see if you can see/photograph a sticker/label/barcode on the front and rear dampers? I'm trying to work out whether UK cars already have the upgraded FR3 dampers or not? ETIS shows mine spec'd with...
  11. Ford Unlearn Billboard Fail

Made me LOL this morning. Ford have taken a load of billboards on the A4 into London, just before Earls Court. One of them features the yellow Mustang but would you believe it, it has a pinched bonnet! :) I checked the other ads (google image search) and they appear to have been retouched...
  12. Woohoo! Finally, some progress

After several delays, apparently my Mustang was due to be built this week. Whilst it's not updated on ETIS, the Window Sticker has just appeared  Finally looks as if the car is on its way! Does anyone know whether the window sticker gets generated after build, or just before? Anyway...
  13. Possible reason for further delays?

As some on here will know, a chap posted on Pistonheads that his new Mustang had caught fire! Probable cause seemed to be electrical. Ford were great and have given him a replacement by the way. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=105&t=1560268&mid=145&nmt=Mustang+woes However...
  14. VIN

My Mustang will be the only car I've ever had where I know the VIN from memory. A result of typing the sodding thing into ETIS every other day
  15. Partial VIN?

After chasing for an update (again), I finally have a partial VIN. However, I was wondering whether I could complete it with some generic details for see if it's on ETIS etc? The partial code I have is only 11 digits and starts with CF1G. Judging by other VINs I've seen it's the first 6 digits...
