  1. Supercharger Surge Help!

I get it to an extent but if a mod hurts performance in anyway I'll have it removed ASAP. Coming from the G/Z platform, there were a lot of members who picked up an aftermarket intake manifold from Company A. Looked really..uh..awkward but good nonetheless. Cost nearly $2,000! Well, some guys...
  2. Supercharger Surge Help!

Look at the design of some legit racecars (NASCAR for example). Small grilles for multiple reasons. Larger/open grilles are form>function.
  3. Supercharger Surge Help!

If you're thirsty and try to get a drink from the garden hose, at full tilt, while holding it 1 foot from your face how successful do you think you'll be at just grabbing the water you need? Your MAF sensor:
  4. Supercharger Surge Help!

Understand you're frustrated man. My advise, swap out the RTR for the stock unit until you guys are able to trouble shoot a way to make the RTR work that also is aesthetically satisfying for your friend.
  5. Supercharger Surge Help!

I get it though. OP said it was his friends' ride so he'd like to be able to bring him a solution but unfortunately, we're reinforcing what the tuner advised (go figure). I know the grille is $200-250 but I'd much rather my $10-11k FI set-up work.
  6. The whipple wait

Wengerd is also an option. Personally, went with Lund but have seen great numbers from Wengerd tuned cars and customers are very happy with the customer service.
  7. Centri Boys, Need Your Wisdom!

Solid numbers man; great lines. Where did you cap the timing at?
  8. Supercharger Surge Help!

Wengerd isn't the only tuner who has experienced issues with this. He's actually one of the better ones so I'd suggest your friend do as advised or put the stock grille back on. @jhunt47 pretty much covered the issue. Definitely sucks but I'd rather have a working, healthy FI set-up over a...

    No Problem! :fistbump:
  10. Centri Boys, Need Your Wisdom!

Gotcha. I understand what you mean when you put it like that - and you're right. Driving 'normally' I'm shifting right around there when getting up to speed, without going full cowabunga, and boost is just starting to let you know it's there.

It's in my sig brother - Paxton 2200, 3.6 pulley Lund Tune.

  15. Centri Boys, Need Your Wisdom!

I was in a very similar position as yourself and narrowed it down to Loki, Paxton 2200SL or a Vortec V.3. Had a budget of 7k; which only went slightly over after tuning. Had the same plans as yourself: fun car I can throw around, possibly some drag pulls and reliability. I ended up going with...
  16. Experience with Beefcake Order

Wanted to take a second and thank Jake and the Beefcake team with my orders for a Paxton 2200 and Thermal Exhaust. I was worried about the possible wait time but the Paxton Kit arrived at 4 weeks; on the money. Jake went through each option of the Beefcake special kit and helped in determining...

  18. Aluminator Failure

Northern/Central MD (Westminster/Manchester) has no E85 carriers; closest is Frederick to me. Would love to have the option.
  19. Deciding on an MGW Shifter

Loosen the clamps to the Y pipe and everything drops another 1-2 inches. I was having a hard time getting clearance, did the above, and was able to finish it up drama free. Gives the side bolt enough clearance without hitting the tunnel. The top bolt spins to a certain point then needs to be...
  20. Quicker than the stock 2020 GT500 for half the price !
