The fenders on the GT500 really do look empty and make the car appear to be longer. Love the GT350 vents, they really gave the car unique character (and better than copying the Porsche design) and made the nose seem less long and broke up the "big piece of sheet metal" look.

Well, no surprise the Lightning Lap came out and the Supra is really far behind the GT350R and GTPP2 and also a couple seconds behind the M2 and M4. As mentioned before, when comes to track prowess the Supra is fast but nowhere near the GT350.

In addition to the weight on the rear wheels improving the traction, Porsche turbo cars are underrated horsepower wise and due to the proximity of the engine to the axle, the driveline losses are lower than a front engine/rear drive car (higher crank to wheel horsepower conversion).

Also, to be fair, based on Billy Johnson's comments re ABS reprogramming and the front knuckle changes, the 2020 R should be doing high 1.34s-1.35s.

Looks like they tested at Laguna Seca, so the times should be in the 1:3x range (think typo was on 911). This means the new/revised 350 with a 1:36.83 time is 0.7 secs slower than the original 350R lap time. Impressive!
