I rotate through all the cars in my signature each week (except the race cars). The Ferrari 599 was getting the most use for a while but part of the intent of buying the 350GT was to give her the majority of the miles. There is also a 2015 Toyota Tacoma in the rotation but I leave that in the...
Nicely done.
BTW, the real reason the holes in the tail pipe are is there to let out small rocks that were accumulating there during prototype testing. Saw an interview with the Ford engineer responsible for the project and he mentioned this.
Wonderful post! I just grabbed a GT350 last week and also have a GT3 in the garage. I'm a die hard Porsche guy, but might have to admit the GT350 is more fun on the street. There is something about the engine that just begs you to drop down a gear or two and play. :) I'm still in the...

No idea about price though.
Last week there was a dealer in Montana who had a black one listed on Ebay with no reserve an an opening bid $100 below MSRP. Car...
What he said.
I just picked up a 17 with conv pack last week at MSRP. No recall issue. Why not just call around and pick up a car that is on the lot and ready to go?
A shunt is almost never the fault of the tire. Our job as a driver is to gather feedback from the tires, the track, weather, etc. and adjust accordingly. If the tires are telling us something and we don't listen its's not the tires fault.
That said, I agree with the DW not being a track...
I think the other comments here about tire life are a good representation of what to expect from them. The track surface, alignment, and driver ability all play a major role in life expectancy. I've attempted to gather data on track life expectancy across a number of brands and have posted...
The Sport Cup 2 tires do have a bi-compound. The outer tread is described as a "high molecular chain" elastomer for both better wear and increased dry grip. The interior is more rigid and designed for better steering response and control. The outside shoulder is also reinforced for longer...
Some updated impressions after 6 days and 1100 miles(!) of driving:
Steering: now that I am not doing cross-country driving, the Sport mode is my favorite.
Pedals: Excellent placement for heel/toe work. Feels as natural and comfortable as any car I've driven.
Shifter/Cluthch: the light...
Very well said!
The Camaro does not do it for me looks wise. I think the Vette is a decent offering, but after tracking one for a day it did not leave me with a feeling of needing to run out and buy one. Plus my other sports cars are all 2 seaters, the GT350 feels like a different animal...
Yep. I am having similar issues. The problem is not when you drive as we usually have communication in our ears that acts as an ear plug, but its all the time we spend in the pits near our car or other cars. It's hard to remember to have ear plugs handy all the time. Brian is very good about...
Brakes: Wow! They are not properly bedded in yet but I am excited about their potential. The feel through the pedal is absolutely perfect and easy to modulate. Can't wait to see how they feel under threshold breaking.
Engine: Lack of any hint of power in 6th gear was interesting, but...
Interesting how so many came to the 350 from the Porsche fold. Says a lot about what Ford accomplished with this one. Also love how the demographic here seems to be 'car guy' as opposed to 'Ford guy'. While I have favorites, I respect a beautiful engineering and design effort no matter where...
LOL! Brian is the ultimate car guy and has been racing for many, many years. And is pretty damn good! He lives in Florida so we've done some of the same events with HSR at Sebring. In the past I had only seen him in the driver's meetings but at this last event I had the chance to hang out...
Porsche has the best steering. Period. It's magical. My '83 has a manual rack and you feel everything, which is amazing especially on a race track. The newer cars still maintain the perfect balance of feedback and steering effort without needing 2 a day visits to the gym.
Steering in a...
