We all know most would be singing a different tune if we were talking about GM or Honda here.
Prius and M3..The only thing it proves is that all cars will waste gas while being dogged. Obviously performance of drastically different cars will be different. What would be the difference in gas...
Sorry, I don't trust something a manufacturer says in these cases . I find it hard to believe that a company of this magnitude couldn't follow EPA guidelines correctly. They're in the same boat as Hyundai to me when it comes to EPA. I don't think either one was a simple mistake of not doing the...
What's common sense? They were hit hard because they were LYING. Just like Hyundai. I bet they're not doing anything more strict than EPA standards, it really wouldn't make any sense. You follow set standards/guidelines so you can compete with other manufacturers, unless you lie so people think...
Some people are delusional. "EPA standards are getting tighter". Nothing has changed. Everyone else is improving their EPA numbers, but the Mustang GT apparently. I'm sure Ford has changes coming to the Coyote for 2016/2017 MY.
Personally, I think these numbers are decent. Have no idea why so...
This car will be a monster in every performance category. Comparing it to a base Stingray doesn't make much sense to me. Add the Z51 package and then compare them "base to base".
Honestly, I have no idea. I wasn't aware the auto was rated that high. I think the manual might go up a mpg in city and auto would stay the same. I think city mileage for auto is pretty good as is.
I'll pass on inflating to the Max.
Got 36 mpg yesterday (computer readout, probably good for 34-34.5 hand calculated) on a 500 mile round trip. Highway EPA rating is 31 for the car so definitely exceeded that on the freeway.
I can post 5 links that state otherwise... New spy shots are out.

You two guys are the only people I've seen state they get higher hand calculated mpg than what the readout shows! I just searched online and most people in those threads state that the hand calculated mpg is lower than their car readout. There were a few that stated their hand calculated ones...
Every readout that I have ever seen has been optimistic. Subaru, Hyundai, Ford, Dodge, Pontiac, Cadillac. Everyone that I know that has a car with a mpg readout states that it's optimistic. I've personally experienced it with multiple vehicles which I owned.
I'm not buying the 40 mpg either. Maybe readout showed him 35-36 which is probably good for 33-34 with hand calculation. I think that would still be PRETTY GOOD.
I need to see this car in person! Rear end is my favorite part from pictures though.
