I've been driving my 2018 GT in temps as low as -2c and haven't had any issues with grip so far.
By no means have I taken it easy, but I make sure to not go stupid until there is sufficient heat in the tyres, if that is at all possible in such cold weather.
Just had my car back from Ford as the drivers side window was dropping ever so slightly and rattling along with digital dash resetting at random.
There is a TSB out for the tyre repair kit coming up but was also told that this includes the Digital dash resetting randomly to factory default. If...
Just dropped in to Peoples Edinburgh and they had one in the showroom which a salesman told me wasn't available, but could order one in within 4 months. Only a £5000 deposit to secure and £60k total.
Apart from the badges, colour and painted brembos it didn't look much different to a standard GT.
I get my premium fuel about 10 miles from my home which involves a straight bit of road about a mile long. I always drive up checking for police as they frequent the place before driving back at speed if traffic allows it.
It's worth the money. I have it on my 2018 and it is awesome on the country roads I drive where I live. The magneride has on more than one occasion smoothed out the shitty road conditions I have encountered.
You really need to test drive the two options to see the difference as I feel its night...
Been having issues with my 2018 digital dash. It has been resetting at random times and losing my settings for my mode and exhaust settings for quiet mode.
Seems to me like a pin is loose somewhere which may be causing the issue.
Just wondering if any others have had any issues with this?
That's my plan also. I rarely do over 30 miles during the week and have a couple of A road journeys on the weekend. If the snow gets too bad then I will make my missus drop me off.
Can 2nd this. Currently not an issue in Scotland when dropping the kids off at nursery in the morning but will suck come wintet time and im watching that seat slowly move forward in the pouring rain.
I think history will prove that the 15-17 came out in RHD and enthusiasts rightly so bought them by the bucket load before sales settled down to current levels which is pretty much where they'll stay.
They are only expensive if you personally don't feel it's value for money. I think they are slightly overpriced but the upgrades nearly make up for the hike in prices. I had a 2017 on order and had planned to spend a chunk of money upgrading as soon as it arrived. With MY18 I don't have to be in...
And so is the 18. But that's just my opinion.
As for people not buying an 18 I think it's down to most enthusiasts already owning a 15-17 and the fact that Ford didn't advertise them as they had so many of the pre facelift models left.
I daily mine and find that the Kona does start to show up dirt etc fairly quickly. However, a quick application of snow foam and a jetwash is all that's needed to get it back to looking awesome.
Here is one of mine at an American Muscle car meet at Knockhill racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. Had it for over 4 months now and just clocked over 3k miles.
Nice to see things ain't changed much in the 3 months since I was last on here. Hinch still hates the 18 and goes on incessantly whilst others join in.
I clicked.on the thread thinking there may be some useful info on 2018 sales but no, just the usual.crap.
