If you only have curb rash and no structural damage to the wheel why don't you look into repair?
I've had wheels refinished in the past with outstanding results. Probably a more cost effective solution for some curb rash.
My dogs will never see the inside of the Mustang unless some kind of freak emergency happens.
My wife and I both have back seat liners that essentially create a hammock for the dogs. That solution is probably going to be a bit cumbersome/awkward with the Mustang though.
I would look into...
I just went through all of that back in April. I was able to look up my original window sticker using the VIN as was mentioned.
Active exhaust was a required option for me and it was hard to tell with just looking at dealer ads.
If you do some searching on Google about window sticker look up...
Just picked up a low milage 22 PP1 MT this spring, was reading this thread this morning and went out to the garage to take a look.
Mine was also not fully seated, just want to say thanks for the heads up!
So why are you looking at rebuild and not a Ford OEM long block?
My previous platform was a Speed 3 I ended up having to pull the original motor at 140k. From all my research and from talking to a very reputable engine builder on that platform the best choice was an OEM long block from Mazda...
I actually still enjoy working on my cars even the shitty jobs as I find it satisfying. I also have the luxury of not having to DD my Mustang.
Half of the aggravation like you mentioned is the whole process of appointments, dropping the car off, picking it up, and then you find mistakes...
This is why I do everything myself aside from warranty work.
I recently had my D/S rear axle and wheel bearing changed out due to a clicking noise. There is a TSB about it and the dealer took care of it no problem.
Got the car back and it felt like the rear end was a bit looser under power...
I just had my current car shipped from Seattle to Chicago using Goliath about 2 months ago. They quoted me $1400 for open transport and about $2300 for enclosed.
I went with open as it's a Mustang that I plan on driving and enjoying. What's going to happen to it on a truck between other cars...
I've use Goliath as a broker twice and had a really good experience both times.
They were very punctual with all communucation. The carrier they selected was very professional and surpassed all promised timelines.
As ORRadtech said , what are you trying to accomplish by doing this?
Aftermarket systems do not have the same optical clarity or light dispersion patterns as OEM assemblies.
It's very obvious when you see them side by side. From a lighting performance standpoint they are typically a downgrade.
As others have mentioned, parking brake on first, car in gear after with no load on the trans from the weight of the car.
I've been parking manual cars this way for 25 years and never had any issues. Honestly this is the first time I've ever heard of it causing potential damage.
Without...
Viofo user here as well great bang for the buck.
I've been running a Uniden R7 for about 4 years now coming from a Escort Redline back in the day.
I've been very happy with its performance for the price as compared to the more expensive R8
