Powdercoat is definitely permanent, but low maintenance. Is that price from the shop plastidipping or powder coating?
I've dipped many of my wheels, and it does hold up well if done correctly. I've never been a fan of gloss plastidip, I think it looks kind of tacky but I'm sure others...
27 / No Points / '15 GT Premium Convertible / $1000 deductible / $468 per 6 months
I have a high deductible because my gap insurance pays it, should I need it. :)
So here is what I accomplished. Hopefully it is useful to someone.
Here is the backside of the cover to show where exactly the clips are. The pink arrows are the clips, the green arrows are the "guide" tabs, I believe. I can't see any way they physically hold the cover on.

I'm going out in a bit to put the covers back on. I will take some photos and a video. It will be more of a how-to rather than actually removing them again. Because I used plastidip, removing them might ruin the finish and I don't feel like redoing them ;)
I was able to get them off. I plan on adding a step by step process with pictures to this thread. Might be able to get to it tonight but it's been a little chilly.

It looks fantastic. I wish I had the skills to do something like that. I'm considering wrapping a few parts to accent. We're the mirrors and heat extratractors a pain to do?
I've done some searching and haven't found anything definitive. Do the premium mirror caps just pop off like the base caps(no signals). The only thread I have found is with the base mirrors. I've put a little effort into getting them off but do not want to break them. Thanks in advance.
