I'd be really excited and happy if Ford announced pricing LOWER than its US competition.
The HP and TQ #'s aren't going to be a deal breaker for me, its more the pricing that i'm worried about.
That might be part of the issue.
I imagine after announcing the burnout feature they might have to plaster everything related to it with an * and warning.
Although, I imagine they knew they were going to implement this, many people had already heard about the rumored "burnout button".
This doesn't seem like something that would delay specs this long. Wasn't the '04 specs dropped the same day as the reveal and site launch?
How much time can Ford possibly buy by delaying the the specs release? They should've had the configurator online with pricing on the 50th anniversary...
I've read some negative opinions about the manual and clutch for this car as well. I've read that it's easy to grind gears regularly, even for seasoned drivers. I wanted to get a manual but realistically i'm probably going to go with the auto.
I don't understand why ford is taking so long to release the details. Regardless when they release the figures Chevy is still going to try and top the GT's numbers and most likely will match or beat the hp figures at least. People are going to buy what they want regardless of the whole...
lol, thats kinda evident. No offense but logically you can't swing that. Have you even plugged the numbers into the financing part for a 2014 mustang gt on the ford website to get a rough ballpark figure?
I've always been a fan of sequential taillights. They're more attention grabbing than standard turn signals.
I was wondering though, does anyone know what/if the current cars taillights "technology" is called? I'm referring to how the led or cfl lights up the outline of the 3 bar tails giving...
noob question, but does the MT82 refer to the manual transmission or an auto thats changed from the outgoing model to the new '15 stang?
I'm highly considering an auto too!
Also, anyone familiar with the paddle shifting or select o shifting have any feedback?
I constantly use my...
It might cross my mind to get the EB instead of GT but I think in the end I'd rather have no mustang than than settle for the EB.
People can say the fuel economy is the major reason, but why would you even be shopping for a muscle car if you are worried about fuel economy that much.
Plus I...
you just need to think about what you really want.
handling, fuel economy, extra doors and comfort
or
a balls to the wall v8, lower fuel economy, smaller practicality
I like both cars a lot, but i wouldn't cross shop the sti and gt, personally if i were cross shopping either, i'd...
I imagine the torque for the mustang will be higher.
This is a great car too, but i don't think price wise people will really cross shop it with the mustang.
right now my biggest gripe on the interior are the plain gauges for tach and speed.
I think with this being the "future" mustang they could at least make the speed digital with an analog tachometer, similar to the civic si and scion fr-s.
I always liked the retro gauges on the 04-05 etc...
I'll admit, the cupholders will be a complaint of mine.
Not nearly as bad as the afterthought they are in the scion fr-s, but still seem lame.
Had a horrible incident once where I had to slam on my brakes and my giant mug filled with coffee went flying forward spilling on the gear...
I'm no track scientist, but if I had to choose between the nismo z and a stock '15 or even '14 gt, i'd choose the gt every time.
The top end power will always topple the z's v6
I'm more interested in the eventual '15 gt vs '15 m4.
I know when the 5.0 came out recently they did a comparison...
Oddly enough I was talking to a friend about the new gt and asked if he'd pick the 15 gt or an sti if he had to choose.(he's a tuner so I figured he'd consider the sti)
He said the GT because they're gonna have a supercharger.
Not sure where he got that rumor, we all know it won't have...
