I'm sure you are correct on the torx bit, but I tried to put in a T-20 after reading the posts and was unable to fit it in the hole. I swear I got a smaller bolt head on mine.:frusty:

The 50th Limited Edition as well as those with the 50th Anniversary Appearance package have the wiring in place and ready to go.
The down side is, these cars do not have the software installed in the BCM-B (Body Control Module) that run the illuminated sills.

I have done some digging and managed to find the male connectors that attach to the illuminated sills connector. I plan on running wires to the ambient lights under each footwell for their respective side.

I saw a post yesterday on another forum for an earlier model Mustang and they used the connections for the ambient lighting under the footwell to tie in the door sills. Something to think about instead of getting our BCM-B modules reprogrammed.

I used my car as the base model search. 2015 Mustang Coupe PP. I'm sure using a convertible in the option would give you different BCM modules to choose. (CORRECTION) It does not give you the option to distinguish between Convertible or Coupe.

If I'm not mistaken, airflow goes toward the driver side.
Everyone else is mentioning a T-20 Torx bit. I went back and checked mine and my T-15 Torx bit fits it.
