I did exactly this -- the stock clutch crapped out and I replaced it with an Exedy Hyper Single clutch, and at the same time I replaced the painfully bad stock shifter with an MGW X-Spec low profile shifter. Wow! What a difference! What makes you feel that the MT-82 internals are good and robust?

Posting this here mostly for other Mustang GT owners who search the forums for "fuel filter"... You are not wrong. The regular GT has one of those in tank, non serviceable, "sock" style fuel filters.

Road course = Exedy Hyper Single clutch. It will also work on the drag strip, as it will hold 735 ft/lb of torque. Twin disk = drag strip only. My RST is off to McLeod for rebuild after just 13000 miles and 9 trips to the road course.

Well, I'm considering going with the Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 clutch (AKA Exedy Racing Stage 1). Anyone have any experience with this one? I like that it should feel close to stock without the shuddering and chatter of the McLeod.
