Though not everyone in China is wealthy, those on the rise may be willing to pay a bit more for a Mustang than we are. Mustang just needs to have a cooler image and offer comparable (or better) performance than available alternatives.
I believe that the 2015 Mustang may be a popular pony car in...
Another happy user of Craig's brackets here. Got 'em on both my '08 Bullitt and '09 KR.

I'm sure that there will be some custom plate mounting brackets for the '15 Mustang pretty soon.
My 2¢... Get yourself a low mileage, stock '07-'10 GT500 to play with while you wait. They're relatively inexpensive, have already depreciated since they're used, and they're a blast to play with. In the long run, they should keep a higher resale value than a GT, and they can be modified to make...
I'd like to see the new cars in in medium-dark GREEN. Sort of a Hunter Green. Close to, or a bit lighter than Highland Green, but not metallic. I'm not into metallic everything. Too many metallics these days. They'd also look pretty classy in a gloss battleship gray... (but NOT metallic!) :)
slightly off topic - don't shoot
Please forgive me for being a bit off topic, but Proofide is great stuff; probably one of the best.
Other good leather conditioners/preservatives that I've used are "Ko-Cho-Line" and lately, "Jay-El" (beeswax based). All will discolor/darken leather (and...
Best answer. :) - Just let it wear.
Try washing your hands more often... If it wears too ugly for you, just buy another wheel in a few years. Steering wheels will be easy to come by. This is only a Mustang, not a super costly exotic that nobody else has.
Current car(s) include two S197 Mustangs, two Japanese cars (Toyotas - built in USA), and several old English cars. Probably owned around 50+ cars, in the past 35 years.
Not sure why so many are making a big fuss about the weight. If you're that concerned about what it weighs, shouldn't you be messing around with a Lotus or similar? Heck; a new Caterham 620r offers only 310 HP, but will show you 0-60 in 2.8 seconds... or quicker, if set up just for drags! It'll...
As mentioned in a previous response, a vacuum gauge was (and probably is) useful for minding fuel economy. This will likely be replaced with Vac/Boost on the supercharged models. Since I suspect that pic is from a deluxe package car, you get Vac to fill the dash hole. That may actually come in...
While I like the looks, the planned engine lineup, and especially the IRS... I presently own two of my favorite S197 cars, an '08 Bullitt and '09 KR. Not planning on getting a new Mustang (for now, anyway). May trade the Bullitt on one in the future, or pass it on to my son or daughter; don't...
I can believe it. Nothing seems quite as well made as it once was. Standard Blue Streak+ ignition parts used to be very good quality stuff, though. Their points sets were better than just about any other that I remember, but that was in the '70s, and when it was all USA made. :)
Just get a good quality spiral-wound suppression core set. You don't want either a plain carbon core or a solid core. Check through the offerings that Summit has, and consider one of their house branded sets. Of those you show above, the Taylor "Spiro-Pro" could be what you (I would) want. :)
All first year models have some sort of issues, even if later revisions are just minor improvements. For example, the 4.6L S197 Mustangs later received revised cylinder heads (spark plug problems), and the bodies got more spot welds and stiffening for the heavy & powerful 5.4L. From '07-'09, the...
I think that there's no need to worry, or pay anywhere close to MSRP. Remember, these are Ford Mustangs, not hand built Pagani Huayra; there's going to be a LOT of them around. :)
Besides your seeing plenty on the road, why not wait to see what the competition has in store? New Barracuda? New...
Eye of the beholder.
Beautiful (to me) are these Marchal Ampilux lamps. I bought a set of these years ago for my Lotus, but sold 'em again (at a great profit) before I could try them out. Two halogen bulbs in each lamp; an H4 and H1, if I remember correctly. Two high wattage filaments on high...
In what way does a good halogen pale, in comparison to good HID? Please explain. A high Watt halogen has an incredible lumen output, as does HID. Main advantages of HID are cooler operation, less current used and longer life; right? Disadvantage is extra weight from ballast circuit, and greater...
