  1. Rear passenger side rattle/buzz

This was actually the easiest car I've ever taken apart. The rear seat bottom has a push tab under each side, towards the middle of each seat bottom. Push those in and the whole seat bottom pops up and pulls out. The trim panels all simply pull out. Just be careful not to break any of the...
  2. Rear passenger side rattle/buzz

That is most definitely the exact sound. And like your car, it is only on the passenger side. So far anyway. If your car is like mine, when the large lower interior trim panel is removed, you can tap on the piece surrounding the quarter window and it will buzz just as it does when driving. I...
  3. Rear passenger side rattle/buzz

Was recently on a long road trip and over the course of the drive the same passenger rear quarter noise showed up and grew louder and louder. It truly was REALLY annoying. I pulled the lower seat cushion and trim panel out and discovered a number of fasteners missing. I used 1 inch wide 1/4 inch...
  4. Premier trim seats possibly all leather ?

It's getting more and more difficult to tell real hide from vinyl these days. I have the redline premier trim and every surface of the seats looks and feels quite convincing. In my 2005 GT premium, I could easily tell what was real and what wasn't. Not the case in this car. Or maybe it's all...
  5. Results of full day of detailing/waxing

Hi... No, I do have a professional Dewalt buffer but there are just too many curves on this car (and I'm not sure of the paint quality) so I clayed and did a LOT of hand polish/wax. That clay step was REALLY important. When I first ran my hand over the paint it sounded like sandpaper. Now it's...
  6. Results of full day of detailing/waxing

It's about 72 degrees and sunny at the moment. >:)
  7. Results of full day of detailing/waxing

Yeah it was rather hot here in the valley too. I find ice cold beer helps a lot! lol
  8. Results of full day of detailing/waxing

Thanks! I did clay the rest of the body but I used the 3M polish on the head/tail lights. I sometimes wax the tail lights too but not the headlights.
  9. Results of full day of detailing/waxing

Used 3M Perfect-It #3 + 3 layers of Maguire's Ultimate Paste Wax Even in the sun, so far this black beauty is looking stunning!
  10. Anyone else have foam in lower ducts?

GT with 20" wheels here... the foam is there and it really does not seem like it's intended to be removed. I pushed pretty hard but it did not want to budge. So these are on GTs without 20's too? Really curious about why these are blocked.
  11. I AM FREAKING OUT!

Hmmm... I wonder if these "air curtains" were only blocked off from the factory for the 20" wheels... and if so, why exactly?
  12. I AM FREAKING OUT!

Ohhh haha. I thought about poking them out but then was like wait... they must be blocked for a reason. Figured maybe it was because I have the 20" wheels. I wonder why they come blocked from the factory. Weird.
  13. I AM FREAKING OUT!

What's odd is on my GT (non PP), those slots are blocked by black foam rubber pieces. Noticed this when I was washing the car the other day.
  14. Adding sub enclosure and amp to stock shaker pro system

Agreed... it's a trade-off for sure. More space/less bass, more bass/less space. In my case, this is a car strictly for weekend cruising so the space isn't a factor, though I did set the subwoofer box up so it's easy to remove. I'll take pics of the set up and post soon.
  15. Adding sub enclosure and amp to stock shaker pro system

Well I added a sub box/woofers/amp and it sounds SO much better. I set the crossover to where only the deepest notes awaken the new subs so the factory sub can do its thing in most cases and there is not a ridiculous amount of bass unless there's supposed to be. I found a keyed power wire in a...
  16. Adjusting sub comes with 401A?

The low volume sub/bass issue I've experienced has been primarily playing very high quality files of a USB stick as well as HD radio. I was surprised just how awful satellite audio is and wondered what was wrong until I read up on it and yeah, it's just always very poor quality due to the high...
  17. Adding sub enclosure and amp to stock shaker pro system

I'm probably going to keep the stock sub/box. I'm really particular about not removing any stock items and only making mods I can easily undo. But if I change my mind after the install this weekend, I'll PM you for sure!
  18. Adjusting sub comes with 401A?

I've read where others were also surprised how LOUD the bass is from the stock unit so maybe there is indeed some kind of issue with some of ours. I of course did immediately go in and turn the bass up and tried all sorts of various combinations of bass/mid/treble and listened to tracks I used...
  19. Adjusting sub comes with 401A?

Same thing here... it barely seems to function and even then, only on some songs. I had to check to see if it was even working. And I'm not into overly loud bass at all. I'm going to add a separate sub/enclosure/amp.
  20. Adding sub enclosure and amp to stock shaker pro system

I did adjust the bass/treble/midrange and again, the sound is pretty good but the track I use to test any new system is (oddly enough) the Jurassic Park soundtrack overture. It has a great range of trumpets and strings and deep bass... and the very end has a rolling bass that in the old shaker...
