I typically just use a slightly damp cloth, but occasionally (like today), I'll put the tiniest amount of P&S Absolute on the cloth.

Back when I picked up mine, it had 200 miles in 6+ months and I was having the same issue. As several have said, get the float charger and recondition it. Mine hasn't had issues since I did that 2 + years ago.
