I just went out and tried it. It *does* lock when the car is locked and exited. You could still get into it though because the door lock button is active (it probably has to be, for safety) so you can reach over, unlock it and get into the console. It *does* trigger the alarm when you do...

I plug mine into the USB in the console and leave it in there. Everything I actually need on the phone while driving is available on Carplay

That's interesting -- if you lock the doors the console is locked. It's still kind of semi-secure though, because you can simply reach over and hit the unlock button. This *does* trigger the alarm, but someone could grab and go pretty quick. I guess I'll continue to keep valuables in the glove...

If the GT 500 rumors are valid ... *that* will be solved.

I'll try to figure that out then. I remember seeing something about that, but whenever I try to test locks I seem to auto unlock everything. Looks like I have to go do some more newb research.

A HUD would be nice. Mine is a convertible, so I hadn't thought about the roofline. A targa would be cool, but it would have to fit in the trunk. I do plan on some stereo upgrades, mostly adding a decent subwoofer.

Yeah, I figured the hood props are probably out there if I shopped a bit. The color thing is more of a whim, just kind of popped up in my mind the other night. It's not something I would spend a bunch on. Don't want it bad enough to go crazy trying to get it. lol Console lock seems simple...

Just for fun .. things I would add if I could snap my fingers -- Touch pad under the deck lip so I don't need to grope in my pocket for the fob to open the trunk. I wish the pony hologram changed color along with the ambients and instruments Lock on the console lid on convertibles Gas...

I got the updated USB hub last night and put it in this morning. The swap tool about 3 minutes. Everything works as advertised.

This is my first Mustang. I've owned 4 Camaros (2 second gen, 1 3rd, and 1 4th) but this is my first trip to this side of the street. :) I can't drive my age .. [ame=""]

This worked flawlessly for me, though I did have a bad moment when I was impatient and restarted the car too soon and was treated to a black screen. Shutting it back off and actually waiting 10 minutes (like the instructions say) solved the problem. I haven't received the upgraded USB hub yet.

Hi... just thought I would say that. :) I just picked up a slightly used hairdryer model. I traded a 2012 G37 for this orange beauty. I'm still learning where everything is. I do think I'm going to upgrade the USB hub and update the SYnc system so I can use carplay ... nothing else planned...
