We addressed this over a year ago. The bases were redesigned and remolded to prevent this from happening.
With thousands of sets sold and very few reports of this old issue being reported, I'm confident that took care of it.
Easiest way to tell is to make sure it clicks into place...

Correct, hot plugging is what you are describing. Essentially, it can lead to bridging the socket, which can cause to those issues previously described. This happens with any bulb installation whatsoever, and is a simple fix on the Mustang.
Every Mustang is extremely different in how it handles...
I agree, the details do matter. The 194-connector plug w/switch can be installed and used without modification.
It shouldn't require the bulb socket to be modified, but it will go deeper in the socket if you force it in. That's what appears to be happening in the picture one member posted...
The malfunctioning issue you are referring to is a result of "hot-plugging", which the vehicle corrects when the car is reset. That's attributed to the vehicle itself, and something that can be easily prevented. Replacing an incandescent bulb with power going to the socket would also cause this...
I'm not sure what problems you are referring to? The 194-input switch for the speed-adjustment is a tad bit long, but still works perfectly.
The fit and finish of the product has already been called OEM quality. The performance and reliability is the justification for our extensive R&D...
We haven't had a 2018 in our studio yet (later this month!), but from what I saw at SEMA, it looks to be the same housing they've been using since 2005.

You should not have the fast-blinking inside with these units. I would recommend driving for a day and seeing if your system picks up the change and re-scans. With any change in the system, we sometimes see a brief period where the system has to re-scan until it's happy. If you don't see any...
We didn't market the Luxeon housings for the Mustang as an upgrade because the performance was so similar. However, if your Mustang doesn't have the LED fog lights, or your OEMs were damaged, our Luxeon housing is a solid replacement option.
The color temperature is similar to the OEM housing...
Ouch, that's unfortunate! If you are looking for a complete LED housing upgrade that resembles the OEM unit and produces a quality output pattern:
Diode Dynamics: Luxeon LED Fog Lamps (Type A)
They perform similar to the OEM Valeo units.
Thanks!

+1 for Avery Dennison. They have a high-quality material, which is extremely durable. We've used it on all three of our SEMA builds, which are driven cross-country. It holds up well to bugs, rock chips, fading, etc etc

Sorry to hear that! Very odd as these are age tested and further checked multiple times during the production process. We will have that replacement to you very quickly.
The best compliment we've received with this installed on our 2015+ Mustang, is that it looks OEM. That's exactly the look and feel our engineering team set out for with this product.
Thanks!

I certainly hope not! lol
We go beyond the normal requirements for the certification process, just to make sure they as reliable as possible.
Thanks!!

Absolutely, we have an Extreme temperature & humidity test chamber that we used to ensure they would work in all climates.
It can be seen in this video at the :40 mark:

The chamber goes down to -50*C and over 180*C
If you find yourself driving in 180 degrees Celsius, you can...
