Idk. It's worth a shot. I'm going to keep this leaking one when they replace it this time. I'll seal it the best I can with JBweld, and have it on stand by for when/if the replacement fails. I hope the part is backordered bc they are improving the design, not just the same flawed part...
Housing is aluminum, the tube with the barb is some sort of metal alloy. I thought it was brass originally bc its goldish color. But after I saw it off the car, it's definitely not brass some sort of steel
I thought I would provide an update. The new part is leaking again. Same failure location. It was replaced last September, and car has been driven less than 500 miles since then.
The dealer says that the part is on back order currently. What a headache.
Does anyone have any information...
In mainly looking to cut weight off the nose, to offset the I'll effects of a future super charger.
This car is already too heavy as is. And the majority of that is on the nose, making things worse.
I'll be due for battery replacement soon anyways. It's worth my money to cut some pounds...
Doesnt rain /snow mode limit max power? I would prefer not to have to switch modes when I want to let her rip. When I snow mode, can you rest the full weight of your foot on the pedal without speed increasing at highway cruising? I may experiment with this setting some. I've always over looked...
Please be sure to take photos of the inside, when you open the pedal assembly. My mustang is currently parked due to winter weather conditions. My f150 does not have this issue. As soon as spring comes I plan to look into this further. Any information about the pedal assembly design you may be...
Yes, these stripes came from big worm. They fit perfectly , and are great quality. I still like the look. But, the best part is, they come right off if I change my mind at a later date. At some point I may change the accent color, and pin stripe is real cheap and easy for me to swap out myself.
I'm to am very interested in finding a way to increase the physical force required to move the accelerator pedal too.
I have broken my ankle, torn ligaments multiple times playing basketball.
It starts to be uncomfortable, cause me pain in my ankle when I drive longer distances. I...
I just wanted to update this incase someone has similar issues and comes across this thread.
I picked the car up from the shop yesterday. The outlet housing was replaced again. It isn't leaking at the moment and I'm hopeful it won't cause me any more problems.
I did notice that this...
Thanks for the response guys. It is confirmed to be leaking from between the metal tube and the surrounding aluminum housing. It goes in tomorrow for another replacement. I'll be sure to mention that they change the hose as well just to rule out any possibility of it contributing to the problem.
These may help. The leak is small, hard to see. In one pic you can see coolant that has dripped down. The other picture you can see coolant pooled up between the hose and the barb that hasn't dripped down yet.
I have a 2018 gt that just turned 6000 miles. I noticed a sweet smell, after driving , and the coolant level very slowly dropping. After some investigation, I found coolant leaking from the aluminum housing of the coolant outlet for the return line to the over flow tank.
This aluminum...
We have 4 different mustangs in the family currently. I spent some time driving each today. I enjoy them all.
The biggest difference I notice is the 66 will NOT tolerate mistakes or help save you from yourself if you do something stupid. It would be very easy to slide that car off the road...
