Maybe I'm weird. As long as they don't abuse it and are responsible for any damages, I don't really care. When my friends test drive my stuff, I insist that they drive it like it's theirs. My view is that the car/motorcycle was designed to be driven that way. I had a friend that had a nasty...
I've called all the major mustang stores. They've all been pretty good with the exception of LMR. Was weird, first time I called about my 1st order, seemed friendly. Then I called about the SVE wheels asking about shipping weights for importing to my country. And he just gave me a really heavy...
Hey, a fellow jet ski rider. I can't say how many times I swamped my jet ski in the surf. I had many stand up skis. Back injuries and knee pains got me out of it.
Something that worries me is that theres coolant in the intake ports. I would vacuum that out, rotate the motor by hand, and try to suck the coolant out with a vacuum. I'd hate to see that hydrolock on start up then you really need a motor.
Does it smell sweet? Take a look at your water pump because they suck on these motors. Mine went at 25k miles. I had smelled a coolant smell just shortly before it below and steam started coming from under my hood.
I would drain the coolant, helicoil it, put thread sealant, assembly, fill with coolant, and pressurize it with a tool like I listed below. Let it sit over night. If it doesn't work, get a rebuilt head. Next time when drilling bolts out, measure the length of the other bolts, and put tape on...
Others and myself have had problems with the Bilstein B6 shocks not dampened correctly. Maybe a bad batch. I went to ford track shocks and its a lot better.
To the OP, my 2017 with 25k miles already had some bad bushings in the control arms. Maybe start by reviewing the car and seeing if those...
I bet it has a lot to do with quality control in chinese factories. Those chinese factories will take a contract, send you a good batch of product to look good, then try sending you s**t. OE manufacturers have excellent connections in china, lots of lawyers, and buy in bulk. So they are working...
305/30r20's, those tires can be difficult to install. I don't trust ANYONE. We don't know if they put someone who isn't familiar and tries to muscle the tire on with the tire spoon instead of having good technique. Or the wheel was already defective, but some work with the tire spoon had...
Right. Like the "grass is greener where you water it". I have a sister that moves around a lot, every time life gets a little hard she starts looking what state her life will be better. And she's been doing it for the last 15+ years.
I tried out south florida for some time this year, from March to June. I towed my boat from NY to South Florida and went all over to see if I would consider buying an apartment there to be my summer home. I hated it. Boating in South Florida is the worst. Maybe it's better if you're big into...
Right. The GT350 is 10mm drop 211lbs/857lbs and GT350R is more. This is how my 2017 sits with the GT350 springs and 255/40r19 squared. In the rear I barely see a difference.. and the shop said they clocked the bushings. Its good bc the roads are very difficult here. I'm thinking about doing...
After I installed them, it was an immediate "wow, this cant be right". I also had a 2022 BMW 118i that the OEM bilstein strut went bad after 11k miles and started clunking. Car was already out of warranty and I had to import it from Europe to colombia, lucky I have a friend in portugal that took...
They weren't damped right at all. The rear was bouncing like crazy. Some people reported the shock mounts can cause the bouncing and that I should replace with steeda billet mounts. But the steeda billet mounts dont work on bilstein. Another member messaged me about a similar problem he had so I...
I had the B6 with PP springs and it was awful. After the fiasco I had with Bilstein, I'm sticking with ford OEM stuff. I went to ford track struts/shocks with GT350 springs and I'm happy with it. The GT350 springs are 211lbs linear front and 857lbs progressive rear. Fronts are linear and rears...
Drove 5 hours to another city here in Colombia to get my national ID. Migration didn't have availability in my city. Got to really try out the new suspension, some BMR stuff, big sway bars, ford track struts, and GT350 springs. Soon arriving LVA splitter, rousch hood vents, and black pony...
