thanks for this suggestion
I should have mentioned earlier that when I got in the car this morning, before starting and just ignition on, the voltage was at 12.4v which I think should be correct.
so, holding a charge, right?
maybe the BMS reset is what is partially needed to make the system...
just got a call from the dealership and service writer said...
"no codes in the ECU and voltage meter is just a general number to go off of
and that everything looks fine."
of course there is no way to tell if the engine shut off will occur again or not.
I sorta figured no code as there was...
not sure.
I will have to check what the battery is that they swapped in once I get the vehicle back.
it should be a Ford battery as it was replaced under warranty; which one, i dont know
thanks for this info.
I wonder if the previous Ford dealer that I bought the car from did a reset on the system when they installed the new battery for the original owner?
the car will sit at 15.1-15.2 on average while driving, the entire time.
for instance, my commute is 25-30 min and its at...
thank you !!! :)
that is sort of what I was thinking after looking at what I was seeing on my gauge.
a constant higher input of voltage would mess up the battery at some point.
in addition, i think i had seen some weeks back that the voltage was all over the place
but can't say for sure as It...
Hi everyone.
hoping to get some thoughts / feedback on a potential issue I may have.
i recently purchased a 2021 GT, 6spd, no engine or intake modifications and only 6900 miles.
Now at 8200 miles and the other evening, when leaving the office, i got about a 1/2 mile down the road and stopped...
another update…
I installed all the wheels with the 5mm spacers and torqued the Gorilla hex nuts to 150 ft lb.
With the spacers installed, the nuts had 8 full turns prior to torquing and easily over 9 after.
Went for a drive and put about 10-15 miles on doing some errands and I don’t seem to...
took another pic a little farther down the caliper. this is a tad closer but still not rubbing that I can see or hear
is it safe so long as it doesnt rub?
any clearance, no matter how small is ok?
is there any reason whatsoever a caliper would move closer to the rim?
8 full turns of the lug...
ok everyone, I hope you all are having a nice weekend
I was finally 😉 was able to give it a shot with the 5mm spacers and the wheel does clear, barely
rotated the wheel and no rub
picture is of thickest part of caliper to the spoke
got 8 full turns of the new Gorilla hex lug nuts, prior to...
no luck getting a chance to try out the spacers as it was raining all weekend.
for someone like me that is impatient, this has been tough.
Hopefully next weekend will be better weather. 🤞🏼
When I get to it I do plan to take some pics to see if the clearance, if any, is enough based off forum...
😬 well, that doesnt give me a lot of confidence.
Guess I will just have to see what happens over the weekend.
is yours a Performance Pack by any chance?
if so, the 6 piston caliper on those might be a tad thicker than the 4 piston on mine???
thanks for letting me know, I will keep my fingers...
damn, I just spotted these which would alleviate needing both a spacer and a hub centric ring; this is an all in one combo.
if the 5mm spacer works for me and clears the caliper AND I can get the correct thread engagement, i may opt to order these...
so sounds like your wheel style is similar to mine (as far as inset and stepped lip) but you have more negative offset which is why yours clear the front calipers? (35 vs 22)
hopefully i dont need 10+mm to clear and the 5mm spacers i got will do the job 😕
please tell me yours has tons of...
thanks.
maybe I will go ahead and order aluminum and put some anti-seize compound on.
the hub centric rings sent with the wheels would not fit… not sure if they were out of spec or what.
I am going to use some calipers to measure the hub on the wheels to be sure they are exactly as spec’d.
I...
Thank you for adding more info, I do appreciate it.
Now that you mention the hub rings, and the issue that other person had, should I order the aluminum ones?
the hubs on the rims I purchased are 73.1 so I definitely have to use a ring to take up the gap to the 70.5mm hub.
I had aluminum hub...
