I would think that if I'm in creep/stop/jump/stop mode in heavy traffic I'm not going to be in boost anyway.
I don't for a second discount the value in a good intercooler, but I had a specific budget to work with and the deflector just seemed like a mod that I was more likely to enjoy right...
One thing I'm curious about... (I guess I'll know soon anyway.. lol) is how the tune impacts the normal "driving mode" control.
Other than changing the shift points; I'm not sure what the mode switch does. Does it change any parameters that are shared with the tune?
Also; in preparation; I've...
I was a little startled at the cost on wind deflectors at first, but there only seemed to be 2 quality options. I got the "love my mustang" thing cause the other variety hooks to the headrests and that means it would never be straight (and that would trigger my OCD!)
You can't put actual...
I pivoted... I spent the remainder on a wind deflector.
FP CAI/Cal - 530
Upgrade subwoofer amp -- 300 (I have a 10" sub I set up a while back, but the cheap amp I had for it wasn't cutting it)
Wind Deflector - 435
That's the $1200 the boss and I agreed I could spend on the pony right now...
Well.... I already ordered the FP Air/tune package. I'm going to see how that works out for me first.
I may skip the exhaust. (Except, possibly, a downpipe) since it looks like real world gains there are minimal (at least in terms of power per $$) and I'm not overly concerned with how it...
Hi! :)
I'm sure this information is on this page, but I've been reading for hours and I'm not finding the clarity I want.
I have a 2016 ecoboost convertible. Nothing but some stereo upgrades has been done to the car. I have about $1200(ish) that I can spend on a "perk up" (I'm quite aware...
Mine was doing that.... worked fine with the top down, got stuck with the top up. The dealer lubed the [censored] out of them and they have been fine since.
Still loving my baby. Every now and then I wonder if I shouldn't have held out a bit longer for a GT instead of my ecoboost, but then I realize I've never had the pedal all the way to the carpet in this ne... lol
Roush says they can put another 70hp to the rear wheels for about 1200 bucks if...
I had this Exact problem. I went by the dealer. The service writer told me it would be fine when it warmed up. Well, it warmed up and it wasn't fine. lol
I took the insulation off, found the hose on the driver's side detached. Put it back on and we're good to go. :)
I think the sprayer...
The rain doesn't hamper cornering (not to any degree that is out of line with "it's raining - don't be a dumbass" anyway.)
The only thing I really notice is that the rear steps out pretty easily if you try to feed it before you're going straight. It's about like my 72 Camaro was. I would blame...
It's a 2016 Ecoboost convertible with an auto. I've upgraded the stereo, but not the performance (I don't want to mess with the factory warranty... probably play with tunes and such later on) and it has the Good Years on it. I've never actually used the "snow mode" but I haven't had occasion to...
I think it's mostly culture shock. It will probably wear off over time. :)
My last car was a G37. It had pretty similar performance, but it was an all wheel drive, so a bit more docile.
I haven't spun her around like a dork or anything... I was just surprised at how incredibly easy it is to...
This isn't some groundbreaking topic... :)
I'm just curious - You GT (and beyond) folks;
How do you keep things glued to the ground when it's wet outside?
My turbo is as nervous as a hootchie in church if I even *look* at the throttle too hard when the road is wet. That makes me wonder...
I did that. It helped enormously.
