  1. Ecoboost exhaust

I suppose it's cheaper than the Ford Performance GT version that my dealer offered to sell me for $3584 (which I gladly declined) but it's still a rip off for that price.
  2. 275 front tyres

Thanks guys... will give it a miss. I don't like the idea of using spacers.
  3. 275 front tyres

Here's a semi-related question to this thread, does the rear standard 19x9.5 rims with 275/40 R19 tyres fit on the front of the car? Any clearance or offset issues with the Brembo brakes? Asking as I'm thinking about buying a complete set and putting the rears from the set onto the front of my...
  4. Mustang Fault: Clutch Position Sensor

So I've had my 'Stang for about two weeks now and since the second or third day of ownership, I sometimes have had difficulty starting the vehicle. As mine is a 6MT, it requires you to put the clutch in before pressing the start button - I found that even with the clutch fully depressed...
  5. Aussie Exhausts

Technically the Pypes axle back are not just straight pipes and have a resonator/tip all in one package, so it's not like I'm going completely muffler/resonator free. Having said that though, yes, the noise will be interesting :eyebulge:
  6. Aussie Exhausts

After my custom H-pipe install the other day, I'm now thinking of getting a Pypes Pype Bomb Axle Back since it sounds quite nice from the sound clips and Youtube videos I've seen/heard. Does anyone in Aus have these and are they able to shed some light on them?
  7. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Malibu1 - check your PMs. Keen on this Nah, my H-Pipe was custom made by my local exhaust guy. Gives it slightly a bit more burble
  8. The dealer experience

That's probably my guess as well. Having worked in various franchise dealerships for the past 17 years (not at a Ford one though), I've seen cars often turn up with transit damage or with factory faults. Naturally the dealership doesn't disclose this info and chooses to fix/rectify the...
  9. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

That's good to hear... I've been told that a battery's not covered under the factory warranty (something about it being a consumable item?)
  10. Compliments/comments/neck twisters about Aussie Mustangs

A neighbour from a couple of doors down who has never spoken to me in the many years we've lived near one another (except the occasional wave hello) made a beeline straight over yesterday when he spotted the Stang out the front being washed. Ah Mustang... bringing neighbours together for a...
  11. Insurance for the mustang

$1675 per year with a $2k excess through NRMA - the joys of living near Bankstown
  12. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

4 days old and the resonator has been replaced with a H-pipe... this is how Ford should have made it in the first place :headbang:
  13. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Only picked up my pony on Friday, but spent the day cleaning and detailing it (to my standards) and replacing various light bulbs with LED ones. Also managed to go for a bit of a hoon in the late arvo as well. Now I'm trying to figure out how to disable the annoying door chime...
  14. Fuel usAGE

Just picked mine up today and did 50kms in it and from a full tank, I'm already down to 2/3rds  Dealership probably only filled it with 91 octane - I'll burn through this tank and fill her up with some BP Ultimate. Hopefully it improves
  15. Mustang on salome departing 27 may

Well, today was the big day for me. Dealership has had the Stang since the 3rd of July after unloading at Port Kembla on the 28th of June. Went over everything with a fine tooth comb and so far, so good - no defects (at least none that I have spotted, yet!) I'm one happy chappy at the moment...
  16. Lowering Spring Install - Sydney

I wonder what a Ford dealer would charge to install lowering springs (have a set of Eibachs to go on mine). Have had lowering springs installed by a dealer in the past on various other vehicles I've owned and have found the pricing reasonable ($200 at Mazda, $250 at Nissan)
  17. US spec lower front grill

Sounds too much of a pain in the a$$ for me to do... anyone in Sydney want a case of beer in exchange for installing it for me? :D
  18. US spec lower front grill

Is it difficult to install? Does anything need to be cut or modified to make it fit?
  19. Modification process from 1st mod until last

Well, mine's on the Salome sailing across the Pacific at the moment, but mods wise, it'll probably go something like this: 1st straight from dealer to exhaust shop for muffler delete 2nd Eibach sportline lowering (springs are already sitting around waiting) 3rd intake That's it for the time being
  20. Mustang on salome departing 27 may

Mine's also scheduled to depart on the Salome as well. It was built 26/04 so I'm disappointed that it's been sitting around for so long gathering dust and rust.
