TNCoupe,
Nice looking wheels displayed, then you mention "that are polished and clear coated. Showing the graphite ones doesn't follow. You have pics of the polished?
Gracias
Thanks. I remember that from your videos. One of the reasons I chose your shifter. Variability. I was debating my laziness vs removing springs. The reverse spring is not a major concern, just a observation and a wish.
It's pretty tight and I'm seriously debating removing the top set of springs. If the reverse spring can be loosened I'd enjoy that also. Otherwise I'm happy, it cleans up the 2-3 shift and seems smoother overall.
Would this fit in your CAI?
Focus ST High Flow
I had one in a previous ST and enjoyed the intake sound. You think it would be a quick change and not provide adverse affects (tuning)? I'd prefer information before throwing $60 at it for nothing.
Thanks
I'm waiting a bit ti get used to it and for the 15% decrease in tension stated in the instructions. Of note the chrome pull up knob separated from the lower black piece that fits into the white pull up base. I reinserted and glued. So take care inserting the reverse knob/ base. Be careful...
Installed-use the tools listed, it's much easier. First impression, much tighter springs for reverse and shifting. Requires more effort than OEM shifter. Shifts 1-3 & 2-3 are easier and cleaner.
If anything Ford will have the dealership have the responsability. You can teach and lead them to water, but the techs are not infallable. The dealership holds the responsability for the techs actions, not Ford.
I'd first look at what the dealer did for the warranty work, before going to a Ford based issue.
If this went into litigation, USAA would be the one trying to recoup the monies and not the OP.
Of note the difficulties I had were what seemed different sized clamps, and I think the silicon coupler on the Intake side could have a step up design. It seemed to go on the aluminum part really easy.
