My drivers side went out last week. Diode already has a replacement on the way. Mine was a newer batch too with the shielding, dont know if that makes any difference. Buy with confidence! They look great, install easy, and Diode has FANTASTIC customer service.

Just so you know, from the drivers seat I cant see it. Passengers dont see it unless they look right at it either, its not any more obvious than just the camera being there already.

I didnt bother, the usb converter will handle fluctations if any, and also prevents backfeeding if the camera were to explode I think.

Invisicord has straight 12v as well. I just linked to the USB 5v model. Just make sure you get the "mini" mirror taps.

Don't you have a mini USB port on the blackvue? The invisicord plugs right into that, and the rear of the mirror has exposed ports the pins push into.
