Ya, I think a mid to high 1.5x is where I might be able to get with the 4c. But I need to get lower than that to get the car into the 10.8-10.9 range. I have not been able to get to the track much this past year. Need to make time to get out there more. Just figuring out what drive mode and...
OK. I was curious with the 60' times. I have the 4C with a stock intake, 3.15 gear, and 28.7" tall tire. I only got out once but went 1.63 so far. After that and the street manners of the 4c, I with I had gone 5c or bigger. I might swap to that and then go with the CJ set up. My 2011 GT 6M went...
What Circle D converter did you go with?
Car looks great with the mods. Friends and I go to the Tail of the Dragon every year. The roads are so amazing down there. Especially compared to the straight and pot hole filled roads around here in Chicago. haha
Nothing spectacular. I was only out once with the car. Half my passes had issues. I couldn't figure out what mode to put the car in, trans would go into a limp mode sometimes, the advance track would engage even though I "turned it off" by holding the toggle for 6-8 seconds. I didn't have any of...
If you have to pay labor to get them installed it makes it very hard to justify when looking at cost versus performance gained. Look under the curve as you probably get more gains there.
Due to the cost of headers for these cars you can see why many of the 2011-14 cars got the $200 cat delete...
Oh you will launch harder. No doubt about that. That is if you can hook it. I will be amazed if you can get any decent 60' time on a standard radial. The car will hit the tire a lot harder now. So getting the car to hook will most likely be your next issue. So don't get discouraged if the 60'...
With a 2.0 60' I assume you are spinning. If that is the case, then the converter isn't going to help you at all. Other than to spin even more. Do you have a drag radial on the car? Or plan to use a track oriented tire?
If you are on a drag tire already, you probably have other things to work...
The leaf blower didn't have the effect I had hope it would. So I picked up one of the Griots Garage PFM terry weave drying towels. That thing works killer! They are not cheap, but they are soft and hold a ton of water. I dry my whole car and can get it to wring much water out of it. It is insane.
What kind of 60' times are you n/a guys seeing at the track? What converter do you have?
Beefcake and Circle D both recommended the 4c so I went with that instead of the 5c I was going to go with. I don't have a lot of passes yet. But a 1.63-1.66 is the best I have gotten out of it. I tried a...
I wouldn't say it is normal for them to take this long. But they have had long waits several times in the past. I can imagine as spring hits most of the country they get a lot more work thrown their way.
Once I received my tune it was 1-2 days to get a response to questions or a revision. A...
I wish I kept my 2011 GT Premium and bought the 2015 GT Premium. My 2011 had a nice mixture of performance and aesthetic mods. It ran really well. It went 11.2 @ 120 with minimal mods and drag wheels. It was a blast on the road course as well. But the MT82 ruined the car for me. I wasn't willing...
I have a GT and use D most of the time. S & M on the street when I am in open areas playing around or on curvy roads. Each mode has its place for sure. Some don't mind S & M for everyday use. It is just personal preference.
Also, yes, downshifting to 1st gear is going to result in a lot of...
The paddles are meant more for spirited and track driving. Downshifting with the paddles is more when you want to go into a turn holding a gear. Then you come out of the turn with enough rpm to pull the car straight where you can easily get to the paddle again to pull the next gear. In a track...
I have the ceramic coated version along with the complete 3" exhaust. It sounds great and is not loud at all. Nice deep tone to it.
One primary on the driver's side would just touch a stud for the heat shield. But only sometimes at WOT. I cut the stud down a little and that problem was solved...
McGard makes very good products. I do not use the generic softer metal lug nuts. McGard is either stainless or high-quality steel with good chrome or anodizing. I am sure you will be very happy with them.
