Did that make ya feel better, OP? Nothing like a little click bait, to sooth an ego...
As the owner of a 68 -- the original catfish -- and a 20, I love the look of my two catfish.
I got my 20 PP1 just before the price increase. I paid 4K for mine, and the only difference between the 20 and 21 PP1 package is the Strut tower brace is painted black. Everything else is the same.
Completely agree on the difference between the 15-17 tires and those on the 18+.
It's been low 30's here, and honestly I was a little timid about having my PP1 out in the cold because of the tires. Long story short, it does just fine.
I live in an area where it stays relatively cool. I've seen days where I've driven for 2 hours and that axle temp didn't budge. It was 40 or 50 degrees (f) out.
The only time I see it move is when I'm on a freeway and the temp is above 60 or so and it takes a good 20 to 30 minutes at highway...
Seriously, why is this causing everyone to get their hackles up?
I have a PP1 and love it. I don't think it was a waste of money at all. Why? Because I knew going in that I was not going to mod the car at all. I liked what Ford did with the stock stuff and planned on keeping my car stock. PP1...
I owned the 03 Mach and absolutely loved it, but I think I'm gonna sit this one out. Optioned the way I want it would push 60k w/ tax, delivery, etc. I hope it does well selling, but I'm gonna hold for the S650. My guess is that the Shelby in some 350 variations will make its return then. Sign...
Oh great.... another YT I wanna be famous line dropped in the water...
This site needs to find a way to block this type of crap.
OP, pics and questions are fine. The rest is horsesh*t.
Turn signals are "indicators"
Brake lights are warnings.
Sequencing an indicator is fine. Sequencing a warning can be confusing. Why not have the entire lightbar flash during braking? Because it would be confusing.
Sorry guys, I'm a die-hard Mustang guy, and I bleed pony but I will not talk crap about any Camaro, Firebird, Transam, etc. All hot rods rock.
Don't mistake this for meaning I wont rib a bowtie owner on why a doorstop is so attractive to them, though.
I went from a 2015 GT with the analog, to a 2020 with the DD. To be honest, I really didn't care about the DD. Now having had the car for 5 months, I would never touch a Mustang without a DD. It simply is that good. I'm always changing the colors etc as it gives the car a fresh take every time I...
That.
The only times I've gotten my PP under 4 was on one specific piece of real estate. Hold the brakes, launch at 2K and hope it hooks. 98% of the time no matter how much you try it's gonna be a 4.4 - 4.6 on regular roads, PP or not. There is just too much power being put down.
It's all about traction. The PP just has a bigger patch of rubber hitting the ground. And the gearing helps. I've got a buddy w/ an a10 base, and if I can't get my car to hook he'll fender me a time or two on a 0-60 run. He pulls 4.4's and 4.5's pretty consistently, but honestly it's traction...
I was all set to trade my 15 in on a 19 Bullitt because of the incentives Ford was having. It was a specialty car, and I thought that would be the only thing to get me out of my 15.
Then I drove the a10 auto. Sold me on my 2020 PP1 from the from the first stop light...
I have a 68 (look in my garage) and a 2020 gt.
The best way to put it, is that you are always "driving" while in the 68. There is no rack and pinion steering so the car goes wherever the hell it wants to go. Suspension is non-existent, braking from 60 takes about a football field to stop, and...
Damn... I picked up my 20 at just the right time. Build date was Oct 29th 2019, so I squeaked in under the PP1 package price increase and that horrible looking antenna.
Not cool, you can't go from the fin to the dome.
I should have stated that I was including tax. 15% is not gonna happen including tax. IMHO of course. Huge dealers might be able to pull it off, but "regular" dealers wont.
No dealer is going to hit the 15% off MSRP. With the shutdown due to covid pickings are slim and there is going to be a wait for the backfill to happen.
If you can get a dealer to hit 6 to 10% off MSRP on a 20, run with it...
