I don't think it is a ecoboost as it still has the quad tips if my eyes don't deceive me. maybe the FPC version, as it does sound different. That is if it is the mustang sound we hearor the car behind it that we hear
If this iteration is like the previous then even the performance pack suspension will be a pillowy soft mess in need of stiffening for any real performance driving. It does have performance "modes" so I'm sure there is setting that will be "soft" enough.
No not necessarily, but it does seem to me that it is GT350 related and since this is the voodoo thread and the engine in that thread ( to my ears anyway ) sounds like a FPC V8 that it would of been on the radar of watchers of this thread.
I'm surprised there isn't more conversation about the thread in the general forumns about the camo GT350 with different exhaust. I know allot of folks think it is a eco4 or eco6, but to me is sounds like a FPC v8. Just like the rumors predicted.
Ford has a tendency to be too soft even on performance packages. Hell I daily drive 50+ miles a day with stiff springs, firm shocks, and full stiff sways in racing seats and it feels fine to me.
holy crap, how can you you even compare the two? Not even close. First in your video it is a free reving parked car that may be hitting 2500rpm at most. Their is NO load on the motor, AND it is a flat opposed subaru motor for pete's sake. Put a load on it and get it to 3K+ and it will be as...
Ok, I'll back off the absolutes I was spouting because it is a shotty video recording. But it does have the characteristic tinny idle with the rasp as rpm's climb of a flat plane crank V8. Both a 4 and a 6 smooth out as rpm's climb and rasp(comparatively) at idle.
Look at the bright side...
I'm thinking most of you have no ears for engines. That is not a 6 for sure, and it isn't a 4 either. That is most definitely the FPC we've been hearing about. A 4 would smooth out alot more as the rpm climbs than the motor in this video does.
TR2 does this in a mechanical way, and I can't see Ford putting money and thus increase in price towards a electronic diff that functions nominally better than what already exists. They want to compete with the M3/4 is performance not price. JMHO
No need for an electronic locking diff. the T2R is more than adequate. An electronic locking diff would really only benefit the drag racers and the GT350 will be track oriented from all appearances.
I kinda really like the idea of being one of the first in the city to have a 2015, diving around town. I know I still take notice when a 2014 stingray drives by and the little kid in me really wants to be the first kid with a 2015. There are many many 2013\2014s driving around.

I'd like to know when the SVE versions of the S550 will be available and what those versions are/or will be called and what the specs are, or at least what kind of engine/hp we are looking at.
I keep reading all over this site and others that the Mustang is a muscle car. Nope. It isn't one now and it never has been. By strict definition the Mustang is a Pony Car and always has been. Muscle car is GTO, Chevelle, Buick Stage 1, etc and haven't been produced in decades. Mustang...
If you want to go road racing, any forced induction type Motor will heat soak in no time. That is why a high revving motor is appealing.
