Crises averted. Turns out I was plugging the fuse into one of the unused slots which is why it wasn't holding.
Once I'd turned myself into a human pretzel and got upside down under the steering wheel I could see a lot better. i'll order in some fuse splices to do it properly this time.
Posted this in the Dashcams thread, but I might get a bit more exposure and help from here :(
OK, so some good and some really bad news.

Ordered the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH last night from Dashcams Australia, with the 64GB SD card and free Hardwire kit. Come to $588
We'll see how the install goes this Saturday
Whilst they're not alloy, I'm pretty sure their were some 3D printed toggle switches on this forum that looked OK.
I don't mind the stock ones, not worth losing sleep over anyway.
I really wish you could toggle down though, instead of toggling up and cycling through to go one selection down...
Thanks to Hunter for ordering these springs. First "mod" I've done and it has improved the clutch fell immensely. It's one of the things I've been very critical of in my Mustang, next to sort out is the shifter feel.
I 100% recommend the @steeda clutch spring, it give you so much more control...
I've just installed the UPR catchcan thanks to Hunter, and the construction looks very well made. The only drama I have is it has no markings for which side should go dirty/clean. A few videos and forum threads haven't cleared it up 100% for me.
Installed after 7,500 kms.
I also scuff mine on entry, lucky nothing to drastic so far. I just make sure to wipe it over and clean it every week when I wash it. If I was getting in with boots or something a little harder everyday I'd probably take them off first.
None of the scuffing has left anything permanent.
The only thing I didn't do was bounce it off the limiter, or hard launch.
Other then that had it up to 170km/h'ish on the first weekend. Doesn't use much oil from what I see, just added a catch can at 7,500km. A bit later than planned but everythings coming along ok.
I've seen 8.8L/100km on...
Had my complimentary service this week, and pointed out the broken up pony projection on mine too. Its actually getting worse and is on both sides.
The dealership rang Ford Oz in Melbourne and were told no new ones in the country and had to order them in, but definitely not the whole mirror...
