I'm new to moding and I was curious as to what a throttle Body Spacer would actually do and how it works what are the pros and cons?

Instead of blowing 1k+ on an exhaust can i just buy the muffler and have everything welded? I dont see anything from anyone that justifies why a bunch of pipes would be worth $1000?? I just want to achive a more aggressive note when i stomp the throttle... oh if it crackled and popped too...

Ive been see ing a lot of custom exhausts on here that sound better than aftermarket 1k+ exhausts and it got me thinking could i just buy the muffler and go to a exhaust shop and have them weld everything together for me or are those muffler designed specifically for that vehicle and not sold...
