i daily my 350, i think its great. the 1/4 mile racing seems like a negligible stat for these cars. Id like to see some 20-100, 40-100 or something as that seems more prevalent on a track. I mean also everyone loves a NA v8 singing to 8000+ RPM ive never meet a person who didnt appreciate the car.
think its quite a bit different, HP is a calculation of tq and RPM. which is why more modern motors make higher HP than tq due to the ability to spin them faster and flow the air. shifting for peak HP i think would be better goal as HP is "speed at which work is done". and i wager the gear...
if i under stand what youre trying to say is you believe shifting at 7k is faster than shifting at 8250? is this taking into account additional acceleration from gearing? id like to see some testing.. i think its false but would be interesting to see. and the assumption you would want to shift...
its hard to confirm that when what i have seen contradicts what youre saying. i check mine regularly, sometimes early morning before work and sometimes in the evening a few minutes after getting home. never see a difference on the dip stick. always at top hole
From my understanding it would show more when cold due to the oil all being drained into the pan. and after running it would be distributed in the engine. i think the manual says to let it sit for 15min after running then check
