If the definition of NVH is noise,I got really minimal NVH increase from the LCA, toe ling bearing, adjustable camber arms, billet shock mounts, etc. All the noise and whine came from the differential inserts which i had done previously to the rest of the IRS:shock:. The rest of the mods maybe...
I did RLCA bearings and Knuckle to Toe Link bearings. Took the RLCA and the knuckle to a machine shop and they charged $30 a bearing. Worth the investment rather than ruining something with a junky rental ball joint press
Chiming in that I had the same issue on mine a few weeks ago. The front bracket on one side was bent from the factory and the whole brace refused to alight with all the bolt holes on the car at one time. Got it after an hour of cursing and nearly stripping out bolt threads, then the other side...
I just did nearly an identical suspension setup what you have (I have J&M Spherical links and stock PP wheels with P-zeros) and finished it all up last week, and the first few miles I thought I felt bounce like you describe, but after a bit of driving, its just actually being able to feel the...
Unless you're on a drag tire, these cars aren't gonna hook with an MT-82's crazy first gear ratio, especially with 3.73's. Buy BMR or Steeda's suspension catalog, get some R888R, PS4, Nt555R, etc, and hook all day in 2nd on the street
I'm going FI next spring/summer, never been to the a strip. Not a drag car, but wanna see what kind of times i can put down occasionally. I've heard more people choosing Kil-Kare over Edgewater.
You're telling me that 220 treadwear, max performance summer tires dont hook in the cold and wet winter/fall? Crazy!
For the record, the tires aren't perfect. They spin for days anytime I've launch them above 3200 and they are garbage in the rain. But driving the other day in the morning in the...
Got pulled over in a Cobra in Ohio for no front plate. Cop didn't even care about it, never told me to get one or to fix it, just wanted to search the car for drugs.
I've got it pretty good in the first 3 gears with the black ones. I thought I didn't get the front bolts tight enough, but after seeing other people with the same issue, I'm glad that its just "noise" and not my rear end about to explode.
Does everyone else just get it at low rpms and gears...
The PP Pirellis do take a few hundred miles to get all the junk off them. Not that youre going to damage them if you rip it, just know that you wont have as good as traction until then, I could tell a huge difference after a few hundred miles
Agreed, I read so many horror stories about the MT-82, and after 1500 miles on mine, its smooth as butter and no issues, other than a slight clunk from 1-2 and 2-3 occasionally. Power shifting is awful
Installed Steeda ultralte linear springs, Steeda black diffential inserts, and subframe alignment kit. Install was way more involved than instructions and videos make it out to be, but the ride quality is way more firm and less bouncy than stock PP suspension. The differential inserts definitely...
Most of the extreme close calls I've had, I do neither. I'm more focused on keeping both hands on the wheel, and in gear if throttle/brake control is needed. Maybe I'm crazy for not honking, but when its a bang bang situation, i'm going to put all my energy into maneuvering my own car, not...
