I would not be surprised if Ford itself started to drop this info to dealers or other news outlets. For those that are holding out for a 2015, it could possibly push the impatient into opting for a 2014 knowing the S550 is still a while away.
The coupe will be shown first. Just meant, once he sees the car (in coupe form) I think he will be more than happy to wait if he really wants a vert (rather than look elsewhere).
Hate to break it to you but I have it on good word that production of the coupe will start in July 2014 and the vert has been delayed until Sept 2014. SVT's will start at the end of 2014/early 2015 if all goes according to plan.
I have a feeling once you see the coupe you will be happy to...
As I said, 10.5" front and 13" rear for the SVT. Incredible amount of rubber.
The carbon brakes will be a divisive for some if standard steel rotors are not offered. Also as said earlier, copious amounts of carbon fiber. Price to match.
That's an $85K+ car you're talking about. Let's not get too crazy now. Maybe the 302 LS as aspirational at best, which everyone would be thrilled with. Remember, it can't come close to stepping on toes within the lineup.
Now, the GT350 we see here, there's nothing holding this one back except...
It is funny all the conflicting sources some of us seem to have.
A few things don't add up, even within my info admittedly. Weight gain for the regular S550s and significant weight loss for the SVT doesn't quite add up. That would be vette/camaro separation for the same car. Even if they...
I have heard S550 as well.
I can guarantee you one thing - it will not be 1,000 badge/colors anniversary packaged S197's. That makes no sense. Ford can sell a lot more than that with little extra cost. Previous anniversary edition sales will tell you they can sell several thousand without...
The changes won't be obvious until you are standing next to or sitting inside the car. It sits several inches lower. It has a slightly wider track which is made to look even wider with fender bulges. Other dimensions are basically the same.
I believe this is the GT350 we are looking at.
Word is that the SVT variant(s) will have 10.5" wide front wheels and 13" wide rear wheels. They were doing high performance testing at Grattan. The size of the test wheels, the aggressive fascia and body and the Boss 302S indicates this is...
Careful with these types of "general" goals for weight loss that are used as marketing. Special variants can be included.
If you notice, rumors of the 300-400 pounds weight loss surfaced around the time that certain details regarding SVT variant were leaked. There were details about...
Yes all this is true, but modified from a 4-door platform that is fundamentally heavier. I won't say it is a sure thing since I do not have personal knowledge, just what I have heard. As a result I feel it is prudent to moderate expectations a tad. There is a lot of safety equipment...
Take it for what it's worth, but I heard from a source that despite the recent rumors, the 2015 Mustang may gain weight.
I do not know an exact figure (I have been told around 100 pounds) but they were pretty adamant.
Just telling everyone not to get hopes up too high. The rumor mill has a way...
Correct, from what I hear.
There is a lot more 'kinetic' and Evos than what has been said in public. But they also made it distinctly Mustang. It is not difficult to imagine a reconceptualized Evos that looks every bit a Mustang.
I can tell you right now that's not the width. The body was obfuscated by the camo and padding, but the track was unmistakable. It's the same if not a fraction wider. They can shave off a few inches from there, but not to that extent.
Overhangs were significantly reduced. Visible at a glance...
