Very well said, makes me want to do something with my base GT that I got OTD for 32k. Best bang for your buck! Nah, the Camaro isn't ugly I think it looks pretty sleek after seeing it in person. Just not as pretty as the S550! Ugly is the Pontiac Aztek.

That is true.. I know for sure Ford will counter, they always do. Regarding the tranny's, I don't think just a 10 speed tranny alone will edge it out. Power to weight, gearing and suspension will have much more of an impact. Sure the Clamato is faster but the looks of the S550's is superior...

Didn't the ZL1's run low 12's stock? The auto SS might be able to beat them and the manual is probably a tie or close behind. Weight loss plays a big roll.

Shit, tuning the 5.0 really helps! Last weekend I got smoked by my co-workers 16 SS M6 stock for stock. Didn't think I wold lose by that much but I end up losing 5-7 cars. And mine is an auto. Great vid, had the cars weighed and everything. Best YouTube video I have seen.

Long story short, I traded my EB for the GT. Offered me 22k for my base EB with PP. Base GT was 32k OTD. I was underwater 3k so it wasn't too bad. I ate the hit but every time I start the engine, it makes me smile. Worth EVERY PENNY for the upgrade! Good luck to you.

Total fail on MT! I had an ecoboost once and it didn't feel like a mid 14.5 sec car. Just the other article had the EB at 13.9 and now at 14.5? They better explain themselves, their credibility just took a dump.
