Shouldnāt need to worry. The wheels most likely arenāt even powder coated. If you ask a vendor whether a custom color set of wheels is powder coated or wet sprayed, youāll never get the same answer twice so Iām betting they wet paint them.
Canāt believe nobody has mentioned to you that the ticking and knocking rumors/internet troubles really got bad with the 18/19 years. The 15-17 engines didnāt get this bad rap.
Been through the touchless ones numerous times, no problem with 10ā wheels and 285/19s on 4 corners. I try to just blow dry (or drive really fast) the car afterwards as the touchless sprayers donāt take any grime off, so donāt want to scratch that stuff into the paint with a drying towel.
If the mustang is anything like my Jeep or dodge then it burns fuel when engine braking. My other vehicles have a better instantaneous mpg display. I get way better inst. mpg when coating in neutral vs decelerating in gear. Not that I do it for mpg, just something Iāve looked at more than a...
Funny, for some reason I thought the 19s were different than the 18s. So how many 18-19s, 6ish?? A ton is 2000, so guessing it still hasnāt been tons.
I appreciate the time you took to hold the dealer accountable. I also feel what others are saying, that itās a shame the dealer gets his way by removing the story of what transpired here on the forum. But do get it, you have to do what you have to do. I would think that since you can not...
Building a mustang is like writing software. For software, the more lines of code it takes to get the job done the better. For mustangs, the more items you can bolt on the car the better it will be. Same thing. (This is sarcasm)
I think any attempt at bringing the speeder to court would be a waste of time. There would be all kinds of ways to kick the camera footage out of court. Unless a cop witnessed the speeding heāll get off. The thing Iād be pushing is that the hooligans were talking about the clutch burning...
Hmm, car dealer and mechanic. I cannot think of two professions that would be more likely to have deceitful people filling those spots. In their world nothing is wrong. Iām betting they are both generally good people, just doing what society has termed is normal for them. Mechanics get away...
And the ph# for the service department is 888-476-1614. For those of you who still like prank phone calls, lol.
Looks like reddit pulled your posting down.
I was thinking of puting a sign in the windshield that stated āBy removing this from windshield you agree to pay the owner of car $500 for every rpm over 4000 rpm.ā Something like that would be cool to see work itself out.
Wondering what you guys do with your street wheels/tires once you dismount them at the track. Iāve been curious about theft. The nearest drag strip is about 100 miles from me and only open on Friday nights. No clue on the crowd as Iāve not been there, I know I have to do a recon mission to...
Iāve seen the bad ones at the dealership as well as private shops, but never had the upper hand. If I had a video Iād want nothing more than to put the name of the dealership and the word Joyride in the YouTube description. I would want to let every future customer know what to expect from...
I was trying to buy a new cap about a year ago for my ā16 and nobody had one, if I recall they couldnāt even find it in their system. This was at Oriellyās and Pep Boys and maybe even Autozone. Couldnāt believe nobody stocked it, they should have it by now I would think. Iām with the guy...
Feel for you bro, hope they get it figured out. From my experience the manufacturers usually do a poor job at writing tunes. They design and build their system and then get their shop car running good so they can send it out for CARB certification and thatās about all they do before selling...
My only experience with Los Angeles was two years ago. I stayed at the nicest hotel Iāve ever been in about a mile from the Staples Center. The walk from the hotel to the center was a rude awakening. Throughout the neighborhood there are planters with full grown trees built into the wide...
