Yeah i changed them around 60k miles for the first time then the ones i just put in went bad after like 1k miles so i took it to ford and they said "needs tune up" which was just spark plugs, so i changed the plugs and went with ngks this time and then the misfire and flashing cel went away but...
The original plugs that went bad after 1k miles were OEM motorcraft plugs, then I swapped to ngk, I bought the ngk ones at an O'Reilly's so i hope they are genuine lol
Hi everyone! I have a 2015 mustang gt with about 64k miles, its got a tune from lund but other than that its stock. ive been chasing a misfire for a while now that mainly happens at high rpms at wot and i finally got around to pulling all the plugs (again) and doing a compression test. heres a...
just to see if i can revive this thread, I went and took the car to ford, they told me the spark plugs needed to be changed, i let them know that they were changed around 1000 miles ago and they still told me that was the issue, i got the car back and bought some ngk plugs for the car and put...
Update, so I've pulled the injectors, visually inspected them, and cleaned them up a bit they didn't look to bad. I've checked the plugs again. And I swapped all of the coils out with good ones from a buddies s550. Ive also done a pcm reset and went through that. Misfire codes are still flashing...
I poured some coke on it to clean up the corrosion lol then replaced the clamp, Currently driving around to get the injector cleaner I put in cycled through. But idle has definitely gotten worse then it was this morning
Wow that's alot of information I appreciate it man, so far today I've gone through the plugs, and checked all of them (I forgot to take pictures) they all looked pretty clean like you'd think 1000mile plugs would look like. I checked over all my connections and found that my positive terminal...
I went to a different gas station then the one I did last time, I'll check all of that tomorrow and report back, a friend suggested I reset the PCM and see if that will fix it aswell
I got ya I'll look into that. I just took the car for a drive to see if it would act up again, and the cel didn't come on as I was romping on it, so Is it possible that was just a one time thing?
I'm on stock tune, the parts I've replaced recently are the EVAP purge valve because it kept ticking and threw a code eventually so I've changed that twice. Other than that the car is basically stock. How would I look at Fuel trims?
Am I looking for if
Only the slightly rough idle but even that has never thrown a code. Before this I've never had a code for misfires or anything like it
2015 GT 63k miles 6speed. Hey everyone I was roll racing a buddy today and I was in 4th gear at around 3-3500 rpm and when I floored it, my car didn't really go and had a flashing check engine light that went away after 30s or so. I read the codes and it came back as misfire on cylinder 2,5,6...
Update: hey everyone I've checked the belts and checked a few other things that were suggested and nothing seemed to get rid of the squeak, I've also been able to get it on video as it was very loud today. I took this video going about 60, you can hear it loudly up until I stop the car.
