The lower center opening is used completely by the intercooler and brake ducts. The upper opening is for radiator in the center and on driver side is the engine air intake. Only the passenger side has a small triangle area that has a blocking plate. This is a purpose built race car, made to...
I'm a TLC break-in guy, so I puttered around in Normal mode with a few half throttle blasts in the first 500 miles. In Normal mode, it's like an AOD of the '90s, it jumps into 3rd gear asap, lugs the engine and generally shudders the whole drivetrain. I was getting really annoyed until I...
Double checked the screw and it is rock solid. Might be the tread blocks on the Michelin tires.
The Nittos NT555G2(s) on my 13 GT buzzed like knobbys up to about 40mph then went quiet,
but never vibrated. Dealer will be thrilled with a NVH complaint.
You can't feel it until you touch the mirror. It feels like a tiny vibrator and if you slightly increase the pressure, it dampens the vibration and clears the image. A sheet of glass clamped at the edges can vibrate like a drum head. The Mark's differential shake was creating a resonance in the...
Not even close to being the answer to the problem. the whole windshield has a subtle vibration that gets amplified by the mirror being a mass
on the end of a somewhat flexible shaft connected to a diaphragm. Short answer, I already checked that. :)
Additionally, like the GT500, the Mark VIII has...

I just got my car and a couple of questions.
Do any of you experience any blurring in the interior rear view mirror at freeway speeds? My mirror seems to vibrate at freeway speed and it affects the image, blurred image.
This was posted and the...
My car was picked up on 5/26 at FRAP by a couple of retired guys that my dealer and I know, using one of the guy's trailer and the dealer provided pickup. No commercial rig, no union member. This was arranged by the dealers regional rep, so there's the rub, you can only do whatever the region...
It looks trick, but that far back in the grill it is seriously blocking air to the intercooler. The Sto N Sho is far
enough forward that it really doesn't affect air flow and acts as a bug deflector.
I put mine on yesterday and am pleased with the fit & look. I think I will run with the plate off most of the time and if i get stopped, I'll explain to the officer that I forgot to put it on after the show. The base itself, hangs about 5/8" below the splitter and is vulnerable to...
I measured the gap between the caliper and the factory wheel. It is about 7/8". For an 18" "off the shelf wheel" to fit, it would need to be at least 1".
Looks like a 19" wheel would have around a 1/4" gap. If 50 Deep will accept the $269 I spent on the AM reproduction wheels, sign me up. I...
Where are you getting 18's that will clear the rear calipers. I have a pair of American Muscle 18x10 w/ 305 nitto 555Rs and they lack at least a 1/2" from fitting over the caliper. Looks like 19" would be really tight, if they work at all.
I got a reply email from ZL1 Addon & they are working on a set.
Hey Mel,
We're working on a set, but it is not finished yet.
Thanks

I contacted Brook at RokBlokz customer support. I inquired when a GT500 kit would be available. They seem to be under the impression that the GT350 kit worked ok for the GT500. I linked a thread from Mustang6G showing the issues with the top mount and the lack of width to cover the side lowers...
I got around to checking my wires & they were ok. The bracket that holds the wires away from the exhaust can be bent to gain additional
clearance. You can easily get to them without dropping the rear pan, since they are just in front of the tips.
Thanks Earl! To quote the Grateful Dead: "What a long, strange trip it's been."
To rest of the guys - Keep Truckin. I hope I can help out the guys following behind
me as well as those before have helped me.
